4-8, maybe 5-7.

I get the feeling 7 - 5 is a high chance outcome.

We will score approx 30 a game, unless Meachum loses the crowd early. ( injuries / money… )

Grantham has the benefit of not having his defense on paper in regards to Ok. St.
That unkown will hopefully gift us 2 wins.
Its worth 4 is Gunderson can keep his nose out of the schemes.

Oregon will hurt man, so will some of the other teams. Most likely.

If the first isn’t a gimme, We will all pucker together I’m sure.

@dorian “We will score approx 30 a game, unless Meachum loses the crowd early.”

How in the world are you predicting 30 a game when they havent done that in the last 3 years? You dont know the QB is. New OC. And what does the crowd have to do with scoring pts?

I know what OSU did last year…but man they can start out 6-1. I heard this morning a buddy saying how tough it was. You have what typically should be your two toughest Conf games (Iowa St/KSU) in Stilly. This thing could be a 8 win season relatively easy.

I am basing it off our collective abilities over the years. Also off of the lack of defense many of our targets have in regard. ( not the SEC. )
Also, off the idea big G. learned his lesson about holding out on $$$. ( Award winning running back being a part of a 3-9 campaign. )

Lastly, I believe in Meachum. I’ve seen his O against us for many moons, It is capable.
If we fall under that mark, the other team likely out coached us.
If we crush that #, well, We win right?

The crowd isn’t the fans. I mean the players.

It’s sad when an OU fan has more faith in our team than our fanbase. Yes, we can put together a good season.

For that matter, I don’t think we have a 0% chance to beat Oregon. They have a new QB, it’s an early season game, we have nothing to lose. There’s absolutely no film on our offense or defense. Sure, we’re going to be putting together an all new team, so we could be extremely unpolished and lose by 30 points, but have some optimism. Most likely outcome is that we lose a closer-than-expected game a la JW Walsh vs. defending champ FSU.

" I believe in Meachum. I’ve seen his O against us for many moons, It is capable."

Meacham has only averaged 30 or more 1 time as a solo OC, and that was close to 15 years ago. Youre expecting this team with no QB as of today, with an OC who was removed from those duties at his last 2 stops, on a team that is coming off an 0-fer in Conf…For your sake, I hope youre right. But id make a wager today that the Cowboys offense under Meachum doesnt average 30 a game.

“Also, off the idea big G. learned his lesson about holding out on $$$. ( Award winning running back being a part of a 3-9 campaign.” What do you mean by this?

I believe last year’s team flopping was due to several factors. Anyone who thinks Ollie was battling something, or was going his 100% is just fooling themselves.
I believe whatever “That” was, taught gundy a lesson. Hopefully.

I’ve seen Gundy O coordinate at the sidelines when it had to happen, and we won each time.
I expect Meachum to flourish here, If just because places want too many fingers in the pie on both sides of the ball. ( quality this, analytics that )

We will find out if we have any buy in from the players after game 1.

I agree somewhat with you on Oliie Gordon last year. I agree he wasnt what he shouldve been.
But what do you attribute that to? Youve vaguely mentioned money. Are you saying that played a part? What lesson do you think there is for Gundy to learn from that?

“I’ve seen Gundy O coordinate at the sidelines when it had to happen, and we won each time. I expect Meachum to flourish here, If just because places want too many fingers in the pie on both sides of the ball. ( quality this, analytics that )” Are you saying Gundy has coordinated the offense, so OSU has won? How then do you say in the next sentence that Meachum will flourish because Gundy is hands off and wont allow “too many fingers in the pie”. Im really confused

Gundy was coaching the O when Missouri was ranked No.3 I think and we won at their house. The year they had Daniel’s He coached O the entire year, would be on the bench behind the team drawing up plays for the next series when the D was on the field. Zac’s first year I think
He gave it up the next year so I doubt Meachum lets him call , he knows Gundy too well so I doubt he would have come back without an understanding it’s his offense. I hope we go pass happy again, provided we have a QB that can deliver and decent receivers. Be interesting to see who starts at QB
