GolfWeek has published their preseason top 25. Surprisingly OSU isn’t on it, or even in their top 30. Obviously we are losing arguably the top 2 amateur golfers in the world from last year’s group, in addition to two other seniors, which isn’t insignificant.
However, this year’s squad still boasts two top 30 players in the world amateur golf rankings in Austin Eckroat and Rayhan Thomas. Thomas, had been even been ranked as high as 15 within the past few months. KP, should we really expect OSU to not field a top 25ish team this year? Or is this more of an oversight by GolfWeek?
Sucks seeing Texas at #1 after losing to them in match play last year. They have a stacked team heading into this year.
