One game can ruin a season. Look at Iowa State in 2011. If we had won that one game, we would have played for a national championship.
Last year if we had won those two games he keeps bringing up and still lost in the conference championship the same way we would’ve been in a NY6.

Also, if we would’ve won the CCG in 2021 we wouldn’t be still talking about trying to win a second conference title.

We lets a third string RS Freshman QB and a fat slow white dude beat us in Ames. That same Iowa State team went 6-7 losing a bowl game to Rutgers. Yea……it was definitely a bad loss. Especially when you’re ranked #2 in the country.

Let me ask you this Spanky , you do remember the circumstances don’t you ? We jumped out to a 14 point or so lead but lost something. Concentration ? I don’t know. I would bet that 100 that almost every guy on the team knew the ones that died in that plane crash. It affected me and I didn’t know them. That year was one year that we hammered everyone we played. Tech 66-6 I think I’m sure you will make light of that but you do you dude. No one really wanted to see that rematch but ESPN…… and I think we beat LSU

All predicted uo would go ahead of us the rest of the way if we came in second
Only way we would go to a higher bowl than those two was to beat Texas
It was a 17 point lead in the third quarter. While the crash is tragic I still didn’t think we should’ve lost a lead to a third string QB and fat slow white dude.
Iowa state, we were something like .006 of a point away from going to the last BCS bowl . Being undefeated was the way to get us in .
The rules changed the next year and a lot of that had to do bc of us .

I still think the fg was good anyway. You had a couple of mid west corn fed refs that wanted to be “ the game “. I still say we were out lobbied by Herbie and the crew. The BCS was razor thin. Hundredths of a point. Saban was doing it his self. They did stop it the next year exactly for that We weren’t a BB
