I agree but this is a case where Gundy should have called in a favor from another coach in his rolodex to get a QC position for his son elsewhere. QC coaches eventually become position coaches and that bridge for Gunnar will look like nepotism at OSU.
Good point. I was listening to the press conference and Gundy mentioned he is working with his coaches on how they keep guys from leaving with a better culture. The culture question is big and bringing in guys that can relate to the players better is good. I think Gundy has some work to do there. There are a couple areas that need attention. Medical staff and strength trainers. Those leaders need work and you can talk to any past football player there and they will tell you about the crap that goes on there. Need to treat these young men as you expect to be treated or they will leave.
Not saying you’re wrong but when you refer to strength training Glass is supposed to be one of the best. Is his training wrong supposedly? Or outdated ?
Medical ? Are you saying they aren’t taking care of injuries right ? Or playing them when they shouldn’t be ?
Maybe it’s sour grapes from Trace Ford ?

Its interesting that we talk about culture and treating players with respect. There was an article I posted from ESPN a couple months ago that talked about Dillingham’s (ASU head coach) approach to his players entering the portal. He talked about supporting his players to look around and see and do what’s best for them and giving them his full support, knowing that many will find that the grass isn’t actually greener elsewhere (even if it pays a few bucks more). Seemed at the time, 180 degrees different from Gundy’s “You are either with us or not” portal attitute.

Gundy has definitely used up his goodwill. I don’t know what’s wrong with this. It’s just reality.
That someone can at the same time be say that it’s completely insignificant and then in the next line act like it’s going to bring the walls down on Mike Gundy. I really don’t care if you want Gundy gone, but making everything about Mike Gundy and then making every mole hill into a mountain is deranged. It’s like how everyone was saying Shrum got fired because of Gundy but then there’s information coming out about misappropriated funds.
