Just curious, why do you think they restructured his buyout? For clout?
Hey champ,
Look, I took your stupid talking point, burnt it to cinders and left it without any dignity, and you just moved the goal posts like I didn’t just shame your parents for raising you to be this dumb.
I’m so glad you said this. I just ended your career as a troll. I’m bringing this up everytime you criticize Gundy from now on:
If Gundy had that kind of record, you would have actually burnt down BPS. One conference championship in ten years?! He could barely crack 7 wins for most of his career. Three years at one of the most well-resourced bluebloods and he finally achieves something, but that’s one helluva runway. I guess he wasn’t fired for performance (although he should’ve been and maybe the off the field issue was just an excuse to fire for cause), but you calling Sark successful everywhere he’s been is what you say Gundy-supporters are: just happy squeaking into a bowl. But Sark disproves another one of your points.
Just because someone didn’t have consistent success (or in the case of Sark, no success ever), doesn’t mean they can’t have better success in the right environment. Meacham and Grantham both have had more promising prior successes than Sark. I was surprised Texas hired him and thought it was yet another terrible hire, getting in on nothing but the scent of Saban’s jock, but I guess that stank of success can bear some results (or the landscape changes have just given Texas that much more advantage).
I think it’s Chad trying to fix his screw up in 2022. Funny how 2 years can change everything.
Yea it is jug , getting rid of you and Joe isn’t happening is it
I’ll promise you when you prove him wrong he will change the narrative. He’s done it since he’s been here. Only man I’ve seen Ketchup say the same thing about. He has to be a goon troll. He rags on Gundy and praises other coaches that haven’t done what Gundy has
You can always count on me pointing out Gundy’s faults while you’re making excuses for him.
You don’t want a “good” season. You’ll settle for a mediocre season as always. Stop lying to everyone. If Gundy goes 6-6 you’ll be one of the first ones in here saying “You see!!! I told you Gundy would get it fixed!!!” When in reality going .500 in a conference with no blue bloods to use as an excuse is simply not acceptable on his part any longer. He’s turning into Gary Patterson.
I never brought up Gundy in comparison with Sark. I was simply telling you that Grantham and Meacham as assistants are not as accomplished as Sark. Which is why Saban hired Sark as a coordinator. Have you ever asked yourself why Saban never took a chance on Grantham? It’s really a very simple and easy answer.
You don’t hire coordinators that got worse and were eventually fired. Especially if you’re trying to maintain or increase the prestige of your football program. Then again, I don’t expect Gundy closet lovers as yourself that are so content with mediocrity to quite grasp that concept.
And I promise you’ll never tell anyone about the positive things I’ve said about Gundy neither. You’re just looking for the next person to attack that brings common sense to the forum. I can’t believe you’re actually allowed to vote.
Comparing guys Alabama (and Nick Saban specifically, the best college coach in history) takes as coordinators and OSU takes as coordinators is an incompetent thing to do.
Outside of the NFL, name me a coach that wants to win that’s going to hire previously fired coordinators? It’s one thing if you hire a former HC that’s already been successful in those positional roles. It’s another when you hire a former OC or DC that’s failed in those specific roles.
If that’s the case, then you might as well call Glen Spencer and Mike Yurcich back to see if they’d like another crack at it in Stillwater again. My point is this might be good enough to get us bowl eligible. However, I’m not interested solely in bowl eligibility. I want us to win a conference that has no bb schools now. The excuses are dwindling (or at least they should be).
If championship is the goal. Then I don’t know how hiring formerly fired 60 year old coordinators is the path to get us there. The more I see Gundy swing away from his 40 year old self. The more I see a future Gary Patterson in the making.
They won the fiesta bowl with Kasey Dunn as their OC, who had never coached offense a day in his life. Let’s chill until the season to start playing Nostradamus.
They lost to south Alabama with Kacey Dunn as the OC after he had coached. He got worse like his qb’s.
Hey champ,
First of all, there are so many meaningless caveats in this line of reasoning. You’re trying to thread some ridiculous needle to make this sound bad. How many coaches would hire an analyst whose son turned eight on the full moon? Gundy. What an idiot. You excluded the NFL because I rightly schooled you last time in the tons and tons and tons of NFL coordinators that had been fired previously and won the Superbowl.
Todd Monken was fired as OC by the Tampa Bay Bucs when Bruce Arians took over. Won the natty with Georgia.
Steve Sarkisian was fired OC by the Atlanta Falcons before he won the natty as OC with Alabama.
Charles Kelly was fired as DC by FSU before he won the natty as co-DC at Alabama.
Steven Ensminger won the natty as OC of LSU after being fired as OC of Clemson. He was also sort of demoted at Auburn from being the playcaller after that.
I could probably go on, but I think that’s enough to prove you’re stupid.
Exactly. Thanks for helping my point.
Can’t blame them for playing Nostradamus when neither coordinators was on anyone’s wish list.
Hey champ,
Who in the hell cares?
You imbecile, I’ve never said 6-6 was good. We hadn’t visited that area in a number of years till last year. Change the narrative again so you can keep arguing the same points 50 times. Like no one has heard them yet. Your IQ probably doesn’t register on a meter so I expect chit like this from your ignorant as$
Spencer never has a good defense in his life. He wanted bend but don’t break That’s how stupid you’re about OSU football When Weeden and after Monken moved on it was hard to out score everyone. He wasn’t as good as Young
If you coach long enough you will get fired Jug. You and your son need to understand the game better
In 2013 the 19th total defense seems pretty good even if inherited.
It’s starting to look like you don’t know football either. Lol
