Why would this article refer to Gundy as “legendary”? He was a good coach over time that elevated the program with some important wins but he had a ceiling that he couldn’t rise above.

Look. We’re going 1-11 barring a miracle. I’ve resigned myself to it. I’m ready to continue supporting the team and hoping this will all begin a favorable turnaround. The other fanbases are going to ruthlessly mock us in the meantime. I hope they enjoy it while they can.

Let ‘em. I’d just as soon go winless than have to wake up any morning knowing I’m a Tech, Utah, Baylor, West Virginia, or OU fan…just for examples.

He was the best coach OSU has ever had from a achievement perspective. Call that whatever you want.

Because he is? More than a third of OSU’s wins in its history came with him as QB, OC, or HC.

Other fanbases? We have enough of our own fans that do that. We will continue to get better with what we have for this year then do a overhaul of a lot of players and a head coach. Even though it’s a foregone conclusion we might not win another game this year, the same people are crying over and over. I till and always will support this team and encourage not ridicule them.
