A lot of people sleep on chelf. He wasn’t flashy, but I thought he was excellent in his time. Sitting behind weeden and Walsh so often tampered his image, along with him not being a big recruit, but I thought he was great when he was here. The 2012 team wasn’t very good, and they made the switch to him halfway through 2012 and his two loses were at #3 KSU and at OU, a game that he almost (and should have) won. The defense let that one slip for no reason. Then in 2013 he took a good, not great, team and almost won the conference title (damnit Gilbert), took them to the cotton bowl. The kid had wheels too. If I remember right, his only losses as a starter was on the road vs OU in 2012 (Lunt started vs KSU), OU the next season at home who was highly ranked, and Missouri in the cotton bowl. He didn’t play in the loss at WVU that year. He also obliterated Baylor that year and Baylor probably would have played in the national title game otherwise.
