According to most, making it to the conference championship is the goal. You claim they are not doing any better but they are making it to the conference championship game. Is that not the goal? I’m sure when these kids were in 3rd grade, OSU winning the conference was a big deal but competing for a title while the kids are in high school might have an effect.
Well, you keep changing the goal in each conversation just to fit whatever complaint you have in that post. Usually, you say the goal is to win the conference. Sometimes, you say it’s just to beat OU. Here, your only goal is to make it to the conference championship game. If you go by who has been in the conference championship, here is the list. 2011-2016 didn’t have a conference championship game so I’ll list who would have been in the game as champion and runner up.
2020 OU v ISU
2019 OU v Baylor
2018 OU v UT
2017 OU v TCU
2016 OU Champion, OSU runner up
2015 OU Champion, OSU runner up
2014 Baylor and KSU co-champions
2013 Baylor Champion, OU runner up (OSU 3rd)
2012 KSU champion, OU runner up
2011 OSU champion, KSU runner up
So, if the Big 12 would have had a conference championship every year, then OSU would have at least been in the game 3 times, which would have been tied with Baylor and KSU for most aside from OU. This means that if your standard is making the championship, they are still competing. At least as well, if not better, than anyone in the conference, other than OU.
3 times in 16 years, you might notice how the other teams have changed coaches because mediocre isn’t good enough.
Texas did what u say. All other coach being fired in big12 was they suck just like miles will be in 2 years.
Well I’m glad that playing for a conference title every 6 or 7 years and winning 1 title in your life time is as high as your expectations go.
My dad grad in 52 he has seen 2 so I’m half way there if he doesn’t see a 3rd.

My bet is still on Boynton winning one before Gundy wins again. Like I’ve said before, the only way Gundy gets to the conference championship game in the next 4 years is to buy a ticket.
Really really I just hope mike is around in two yrs. Still nothing my dad has seen 2 champ he lived thur the 50’s and 60’s. The only other title was a 3away tie 44 yrs ago. We got a clean title in the last 10 by a hog coach n your talk about a coach who as of yet hasn’t cracked the top 5 of conference
I know it sounds good in ur head just say it out loud as a sound board. U do live alone u know they put away people like u. Check ur meds.
Love the high expectations, I’m sure your dad thought Pat Jones was a great coach too.
See, here you’re changing your goal again. Just earlier today your only goal was to make it to the conference championship game. Now, it is something else, but not really defined.
As for your other post saying that the others fired their coaches, yes they did, but they haven’t had any better results. However, Baylor actually fired theirs because he was a morally inept jerk. They hired someone else who had one good year and then left them for greener pastures. TCU hasn’t fired theirs yet. KSU didn’t fire theirs, he retired. ISU did, but they were horrendous and had absolutely nothing to lose in firing him. Texas is the ONLY school that fits your very wrong statement, and it hasn’t worked at all for them either. Oh well.
Scott it’s like talk to a drunk street walker from midwest city. Oh yea u r sorry.

Pat jones did coach r first 2 time 10 game winner. R only Heisman.
My goals have been to make it to the conference championship 1 out of 4 years beat OU 1 out of 4 and recruiting in the top 25.
U ask for way to much its get late should u be some where
Out of 9 teams in the big 12 no one fits that list before u say something stupid. I mean all 3
I’m very high on Boynton also, but realistically he hasn’t really shown that he will win any more than Gundy has. He has one really good recruit, because that player’s brother was on staff here. We can’t do that every year. If he’s able to recruit without that, then, yes, maybe you’re right. Without that #1 recruit in the nation, however, his actual on the court results haven’t been anything near what’s required to win the championship. I realize it takes time. It took Gundy 6 years. Hopefully, Boynton will have it quicker. And, btw, it is a lot easier to recruit in basketball because the bigger teams have far fewer spots to fill, leaving more big time players available for others so Boynton’s chances should be at least slightly better.
There you go with your high expectations.
Most doctors call that realistic. Only high hope when u over use ur meds
Our only 2 NFL hall of famers also
Gundy inherited a program that was doing 2 of them.
