What TCU players said about OSU’s new quarterback.
Nice praise, but if he’s passing was so good, why didn’t he throw a pass last year and why did he hit the portal?
I still think that Flores will be the starter and Hejny will come in for red zone/goal line/short yardage situations.
Maybe I’m wrong and we’ll see.
Agreed, I think he has the potential to be the best passer and/or runner OSU has had in years, but I still think Zane is the better “Quarterback” as it stands, Hauss still needs to develop pocket awareness and defensive reads imo
I honestly don’t care which of these two start as long as it ends with us hoisting a Big 12 trophy at the end of it all.
This is making me think he’s got it and Zane will backup. I want Zane. But I think that little
Bit of experience gets Hejny the nod. I want to
Be wrong. I think Hejny can do great things too though…
I left this article with the impression Hejny is Daxx Garman with wheels. Although, hard to say how much better running ability would make an otherwise limited QB. More time for short routes to open, don’t need as much accuracy/anticipation, can pull people out of coverage in the middle of the field by being a run threat.
I think people should go back and watch their high-school tapes. Both of these guys were higher rated than Devon Dampier at Utah, Austin Simmons at Ole Miss, Darrian Mensah at Duke(Tulane last year), LaNorris Sellers at South Carolina, Gio Lopez at North Carolina, all 3 qb’s at BYU. They’re not getting respect because of last season. Either QB would be hyped up if we didn’t go 3-9 last year. QB should not be the problem.
Ask the TCU HC and OC on question #1. On question #2 there is a coach connection that might serve as the answer and heck as a bonus the answer to #1 might provide partial credit for #2. Don’t really know though.
Haus said that frogs had already invested a lot of time and money into Hoover as the starter, so to have a chance to win a starter job elsewhere, he hit the portal with multi year eligibility left
You know good and well that ain’t happening. You play too much!
As long as Gundy is coach.
