The acquired taste is getting used to eating 100% potatoes after being raised on fries flavored with beef tallow and saturated in grease. Kind of like saying you only like salad if it is drenched in dressing.
Salad is not food, it’s what food eats.

Giving this a sports spin, this is like getting your butt handed to you by three touchdowns and saying, “You know, they weren’t that great”. The top three fast food franchises based on total sales (2017) were McDonald’s, Starbuck’s, and Subway, but they operate nearly 54,000 stores. Operating only 2,225 restaurants, the Chick was 9th on the list in this story, but sales per store were greater than the first three combined.
Chick - $4,090,900
McDonald’s - $2,670,320
Starbucks - $945,270
Subway - $416,860
So, keep up the “overrated!” chants, while Chick Fila continues serving delicious food and making great money.

No. You said there is only one cut, the breast, when clearly you can get a wing.
The thing that you did not address, unless I missed it, is the customer service and overall competence of the Chick-Fil-A staff… Your order is always right, they give you great service (mostly with a smile) and the restaurant is clean. Throw in the fast drive thru and it’s not even close. Good chicken fast!
Compare that to the experience at Popeye’s. Their chicken sandwich is arguably better but I don’t go there because they are usually grimy, the staff unfriendly, and you have a 50/50 chance of getting your order right. And you need an hour to get through the drive thru.
Also, I’m an oldie and have eaten far more chicken the most of you!
