‘I’ve put my heart and soul into this.’
I said a couple of weeks ago I didn’t want Gundy fired midseason. It felt disrespectful based on what he’s accomplished.
I’ve changed my mind.
The administration not making a call is forcing him to double down in defending himself and make a mockery out of himself and the program. I wish Mike had the awareness to be humble and honest, but he’s incapable of those things.
Rip the bandaid off. It’s time.
Didn’t seem to put his heart in it when I was in the stadium on Friday night.
God just go away already. It’s the same old crap presser after presser. “I’ve got my head down doing what I know how to and that’s all I can do”. Blah blah blah. At least Dabo showed some emotion Saturday after their loss and the state of that program. If you are giving your all well then your all ain’t working and it’s time to try some other regime’s ALL.
What I feared would happen had exactly happened. I didn’t think keeping Gundy or hiring fired old coaches was the way forward. In fact, I said we need a young hungry coach that will bring in a staff that isn’t 20 years behind on the college football environment.
The only way I can see the administration deciding to go ahead and hold onto him during the offseason was giving him enough rope to hang himself. Which, so far, he seems to be doing an excellent job at accomplishing that.
You guys can keep blaming NIL and the administration all you want. You can keep ignoring the fact we just lost to a G5 team that lost to NMSU and was blown out by Navy. Gundy has no cards left in the stack.
Wrestled against MG in high school,
Played intramural softball against him in college.
Got to know him better from 2012-2029 as a season ticket holder.
Good man, good husband, great father.
He’s head is elsewhere and his passion has waned.
The most damning subtext is his comment that “…and that’s what I will do based on the hand that we’ve all been dealt.”. It’s the SAME HAND all 133 other teams have been dealt. Rookie quarterbacks? New coordinators? Transfer players? Injuries? The only difference is that OSU is 134 out of 134 in dealing with the dealt hand. Ridiculous levels of gaslighting - “Extra man in the box” levels of gaslighting. It’s horrific to watch.
Oh you want to see some prime time major league gaslighting, head to Pokes Report and see what Robert Allen, Minister of Propaganda, has been pumping out since Friday. The level of gaslighting will make you stand in awe lol.
Unbelievable that this man still has a job. His dumb Monday radio show came on while I was in the car and just the sound of his voice makes my blood boil. What a joke.
Oklahoma State University is no longer serious about its football program. It’s that simple.
Be prepared for it to get even worse. We may have seen our last win for a looooong time.
Yea….as if an entire stadium didn’t just witness with their own eyes the disaster on Friday. They need to go ahead and get rid of Robert Allen once they have to clean house again. Can’t wait to see what he says when we lose 60-6 to Baylor.
He’ll say the schemes were good, just need to execute better, no biggie.
Not only did we lose to Tulsa, we failed to score the spread we were favored by. That is awful and not the result of a few in-game mistakes.
Preaching to the choir my friend. That’s why I done watching this dumpster fire until Gundy is gone. Not wasting my time anymore. I have better things to do on my Saturdays. My only hope and prayer is that they don’t televise anymore OSU games this year unless it’s buried on ESPN+
This is gonna get ugly. Like old ‘Spears School of Business’ building levels of ugly.
It belies everything we’ve seen and heard from Gundy. Is this what his lawyers told him to say?
