Still one game to go. Don’t expect it but TCU could possibly beat Texas , we still need to beat BYU …. Only ones with two loses are us, KSTATE, and the goons. From what I understand we go ?
BYU should have beat OU today. That 100 yard int was the difference. They drove the field running until 1st down at the three
Let’s not forget Bowman to Presley was very effective. As well the defense had a streak of 7 possessions without a score. It was a team effort
You mean the Qb who threw for 350 yards. I realize he’s no Weeden, but I’ll take his yards any day.
Looking at that calculator thingy if we win next week the only way that we are denied playing in the B12 CC is if TTU wins over UT and ISU wins over KSU and OU wins over TCU.
What if Texas loses and OSU, OU and KSU win?
We are in the big show
TCU is going to have a hard time beating Texas, because they will be playing OU. Texas Tech plays Texas
Here is the link if you want to play around with the possibilities mred's Big 12 FB Standings Generator
The calculator has issues. If next week you have Tx Tech beat Texas, OSU win, OU win and ISU beat Kansas St it states that OU and Texas go, however, read the tiebreaker that is next to it and it states that OSU doesn’t go because we lost to the #4 team…which is Kansas St, who we beat
Even if texas loses, we are in IF we beat byu (According to this site simulator mred’s Big 12 FB Standings Generator)
Correction! When running scenarios, I never ran one where OSU and ou are the only top 4 teams to win. That would leave us out and stuck with a rrr rematch. So we need to Win And root for texas and or kstate.
Okay I got the wrong Texas team then. Tech will be tougher to beat. If we win and Texas loses I think we are still good. From what I read they simplified the system so using head to head. If you didn’t play them it is a 1-1 from what I understand. We have victories over two of the three others
Nardo dialed up something second half. Played a lot better. If we make the CC game we will have to play well the whole game. Texas has loads of talent. Both lines are good , depends on who plays QB. Their running back tore his ACL so he’s gone. We need to play a clean game. Just don’t see Texas losing but that’s why they play the game
So the tool has issues
So if UT loses and ISU wins the tool shows the #4 team to be Iowa state whom we didn’t beat so that is why it says we are out. The tools shows that UT and UO would be in the tltle game.
When I run it. It says Kansas St is the #4 team
I don’t know man perhaps you don’t have the parameters set right. The tool makes sense though . In this case OU, UT and OSU would be tied for 1st place at 7-2. Each of us beat one of the other so there is no tie breaker based off of who beat who. ISU and KSU would be tied for 2nd place at 6-3. Since ISU beat KSU that would put ISU at #4. UT and OU both beat ISU while we lost to them hence OU and UT making the big show and leaving us out.
Mine shows that Iowa St, West Virginia, Texas Tech and Kansas St are all tied at 4th and Kansas St wins the tiebreaker
They’ve already played.
Here is what the tool is showing me:
Oklahoma (7 - 2) With Texas, above OSU based on winning percentage against #4 teams all played one time (1-0). Above Texas based on head-to-head record (1-0).
2. Texas (7 - 2) With Oklahoma, above OSU based on winning percentage against #4 teams all played one time (1-0). Below Oklahoma based on head-to-head record (0-1). Above OSU based on winning percentage against #4 teams all played one time (2-0).
3. OSU (7 - 2) Below Oklahoma and Texas based on winning percentage against #4 teams all played one time (0-1). Below Texas based on winning percentage against #4 teams all played one time (1-1).
4. Iowa St (6 - 3) With Kansas St, above Texas Tech and WVU based on conference opponent win percentage (0.4938). Above Kansas St based on head-to-head record (1-0).
5. Kansas St (6 - 3) With Iowa St, above Texas Tech and WVU based on conference opponent win percentage (0.4938). Below Iowa St based on head-to-head record (0-1). With Kansas St, above WVU based on winning percentage against #9 teams all played one time (2-0). Below Kansas St based on head-to-head record (0-1). Below WVU based on head-to-head record (0-1).
I’m typing in Oklahoma, Texas Tech, West Virginia, UCF, Kansas, Iowa St and OSU as wins and it says
Kansas St is 4 Above Iowa St. based on conference opponent win %
