Instant Recap: Oklahoma State Concludes Season with 52-0 Loss to Colorado

I guess you could say Gundy has done something no other coach has done in school history. The longest losing streak belongs to it’s best coach.

We just hired Paul Randolph from Indiana. I doubt he’s gone after year one. I can see why Indiana didn’t have a problem letting him go :man_shrugging:.

I’m willing to wager more money that Bowmna wouldn’t have been any better, but possibly worse.

Gundy has to give a statement first. I’m still waiting to hear what he has to say in the post game presser, but thus far I don’t see it posted.

And Weiberg shouldn’t say anything until he’s comfortable with the potential outcome of firing Gundy. If he speaks up before Gundy, then you could see Gundy’s well-documented stubborn-side show up and then those two will no longer be successful working together and thus either Gundy or Weiberg would have to go.

Gundy thinks he’s the secret sauce, but the truth is the secret sauce has always been his coordinators. When Gundy has been bold and hired good/great coordinators (established or legit D1 up-and-comers), Gundy has gotten good results. When Gundy goes coordinator shopping on the bargain rack, we get seasons like this.

Hey champ,

How?!

Man, I give it to you sticking to a stupid idea to its stupid conclusion.

Quick question: who’s paying the 25 million it would take to fire him? Bueller? Bueller? OSU does not HAVE that kind of money.

Absolutely correct.

Hey champ,

Like not being able to raise the money to do so and then completely showing his butt to everyone? Like raising the money and then not having enough to fund the next guy’s season and so he looks terrible when the next guy fails and gets fired himself?

He’s not firing Gundy. He shouldn’t fire Gundy. Bickering with your head coach and losing is what Holder did, and the only worse outcome was when he bickered with his BB HC and won.

I’ve been paying attention to OSU football since the Brent Blackman days, and this is the absolute worst I can remember. Even the 0-10-1 season was better, in part because of who the tie was against and in part because the expectations were so low. And sadly, even after this, Gundy will still think he’s the second coming and blame the fans for not realizing how super-amazing he is.

The fact that Bowman hasn’t learned to step up into the pocket for 7+ years doesn’t tell me he’s going to be any better than a freshman with his decision making. Not to mention his ability to throw an interception with almost every touchdown he does throw. Just a thought.

And Bowman got garbage time snaps today and still didn’t do anything with them.

No, that’s stupid. Throwing off your backfoot is not the same as poor decision-making. You are a clown.

Bahahahahahahahahahahaha. That is chump change.

It is truly too bad OSU is not in a position to fire his sorry butt!!! He truly showed his colors this year!!!

Ask any QB coach and he’ll tell you differently. It acutely causes a higher chance for picks. You keep believing you’re right though :+1:.

If the buyout wasn’t $25M, would you fire him? If not, then the buyout isn’t relevant. And if so, then you agree that Gundy is just a lame duck coach who’s holding OSU hostage via his buyout and should be fired as soon as its economically feasible. Just curious which of the two camps you’d fall in.

Regardless of the buyout, IF Mike Gundy is willing to clean house on assistants/coordinators, I am fine keeping him after one horrific season of his 20 years. IF Mike Gundy tries to run it back with all the same coaches, then I’d be ready to move on.

What have we done with Weiberg? How are donations compared to Holder?
Seems a little short.

I’d absolutely fire him as soon as the plane landed in Stillwater. Wouldn’t think twice. The game has passed him by. He can’t handle the portal. He keeps proving that. I would go strong after GJ Kinney of Texas State.
