The Cowboys dropped an ugly one in Tulsa.

Shameful coaching in that one. No other way to put it.

We can’t even buy a football team.

I agree with Dickey. I said I would hold HCEM accountable to the same standard I would with Gundy. That game gave me absolute Gundy / Dunn vibes. I don’t care if these players are young and the coaches too. They get paid millions to win. Not to get dominated by Tulsa. Indeed a very shameful way to for Eric Morris to start out his career at OSU.

It’s going to be a long season. 91 new players and most coming from a mid level team. Next week will be nasty.

Substandard coaching and substandard effort from the players. The quick go for it on 4th wasn’t working, so let’s just keep doing it. Once again, for what seems like the last decade, we have a porous offensive line. Mestemaker was under pressure the entire game - from Tulsa! I don’t even want to think about what it will be like against Oregon and the Big XII schedule. I feel like I’ve been duped by the OSU pre-season hype train again.

I said before the game this would determine for me how good we would be. The defense played about to what I expected them to do. Not great, but not atrocious.

I know everyone complained about Gundy’s conservative style, but taking the field goals and punting instead of going for it on 4th might’ve turned this game around. We shouldn’t need to do that against Tulsa, but when you find yourself struggling, you need to play smart and not flashy.

No different than Gundys last two years. Different players, same result. Tulsa was sharper, better play calling. We couldn’t block Ned and the primer. Defense bla gonna be a long season. Don’t havd to worry about Metes going pro Maybe he’s good with decent protection. Not happening here this year

Why would he be laughing? He put oSu in this basement… only a low-life scum bag or a Sewerner is laughing now. I doubt MG is either.

Basement? You were telling me 10-2 like yesterday.

Gundy would’ve gotten his ass kicked by this Tulsa team too. He deserved to get fired and if Eric Morris pulls an 1-11 season too his ass deserves to get fired.

I agree. This Tulsa team has a better HC and a little more talent than last season. Gundy would’ve ran the ball 50+ times to the tune of 2.6 yards per rush, and punted 10 times. That wouldn’t have won us the game at all.

So? What’s your point? I was obviously trusting that Morris was better than today. Is there a problem with that? Are you a closet Sewerner or just angry?

I mean he did, but it would have been nice if the administration didn’t lose their ■■■■ mind last season and tear everything down to studs before the season. This is the kind of game Gundy’s play style would get us through and everyone would complain about afterwards for winning 24-17.

Right? This clown has no idea what he’s talking about. Probably thought us not being ranked pre season was too low.

You seriously think the guy that plays down to the level of competition and makes everyone’s ***hole pucker against teams like Tulsa would’ve turned this game around? I don’t think so. He would’ve tried the same thing over and over again (given it’s the first game) and punted the ball being down by 14 with 5 minutes to play. Apparently you didn’t watch the games very often.
