Instant Recap: Oklahoma State Falls to Baylor to Extend Losing Streak to Five

Wonder what excuses the Gumby fanboys got now?

Iā€™m repeating myself, but weā€™ve had shaky schemes and bad tackling at OSU most seasons under Gundy. We could still score the ball and win shootouts.

Thatā€™s why Iā€™m harping on Dunn so hard and not Nardo. Thatā€™s why I think a rebuild starts with canning Dunn, not Nardo. It simply has to happen and I worry that it wonā€™t. I think Nardo is gonna be the sacrificial lamb.

It has to be Dunn!

Pathetic, so is the D-coordinator and that D-line coach Gumby hired.

With as much money as he likely has saved up Iā€™m sure, from a finances perspective, it would be easy to walk away. If I were him I would. Then again there is a reason why Iā€™m not paid 7 mill or whatever to do a job and he is.

Should, but I donā€™t. You think the AD, who re-upped Gumby for 7 mill w/ a ridiculous 1.5 mill retention bonus is gonna fire the dude? LOL! Chad Weiberg doesnā€™t have cojones big enough.

I guess one could survive Nardoā€™s defenseā€™s if you put together a 2011 style offense but I;m guessing that is not likely. Like it or not we need a way better defense than Nardo is providing if we want to get back to the top of the B12.

One more season of this and Iā€™m saying yes he will.

He said that Bowman played well? Geez, Gundy is being waaaay too nice. The guy is beyond an adult. Time to treat him like one. Bowman played as good as the charmin we wipe our butts with.

Bowman has been in college more than most of us have been alive and HE STILL DOESNā€™T SET HIS FEET! Itā€™s mind blowing to me that he has three D1 programs worth of knowledge and still hasnā€™t learned to throw the ball. And itā€™s him not the coaches. He chooses to fall away from throws with his weak arm. The only thing coaches can do for that is bench him. Unfortunately we canā€™t apparently.

Iā€™m sure Michael and Robert would disagree.

We have the worst defense in Division 1 Football for two years running! Enough Said!!!

Fire Nardo if you want, but if you think this offense is anything other than TRASH I donā€™t know what to tell you. A new DC next yeat will do JACK CRAP if they bring this OC back.

If you think an average defense would help this team out, youā€™re dreaming.

Seriously, I donā€™t know why everyone is so intent on ignoring how HORRIBLE this offense is. Gundy is gonna f around and keep Dunn and fire Nardo, and weā€™re gonna miss a bowl next year too.

I donā€™t think anyone is ignoring that, quite the opposite. But the defense lost the game against BYU and yesterday was, quite possibly, the worst I have ever seen from an OSU defense since Iā€™ve been watching them since 2006. Thatā€™s what is prompting this visceral reaction.

Yep that is what we are seeing. The D has managed to out stink a very stinky O. There is plenty of argument for making changes to both and we should not be happy if that doesnā€™t end up being the case.

And the offense is the worst since before even then. This is going to be the worst team of Gundyā€™s tenure, in his 20th season. Gundyā€™s supposed to be an offensive minded guy.

This is inexcusable in year 20, and YES, the offense is the bigger problem right now.

I think theyā€™re both bad but Iā€™m just saying - our offense, even after the rangel injury, had the BYU game won and the defense blew it. And it wasnā€™t the offense that gave a historically poor effort and missed multiple tackles on Saturday. This is what has caused the reaction youā€™re seeing about the defense. Itā€™s a false narrative to say everybody thinks one is worse than the other. If everyone voted, Iā€™m sure an overwhelming majority would say both should be gone. Dunn because heā€™s only gotten worse since heā€™s been here and Nardo because the defense, at least while Iā€™ve been a fan, has never been this bad. That being said, if just one had to go, I guess Iā€™d say Dunn since heā€™s been here longer.

But I think weā€™re also underestimating the QB position. Our offense was, dare I say, cooking with Rangel in and the run game opened up tremendously. So, we (obviously) also need a better QB as well as OC.

Yes. The offense has issues and needs major changes. But at least you see the players trying to win. Ollie could just claim injury and wait for the NFL, but he shows up. Presley is playing hard and is leaving it all on the field. However, the defense? Iā€™m not sure whatā€™s going on. Either they donā€™t want to play or they donā€™t care. And that is coach Nardoā€™s problem and right up the line to Gundy. If the players dont want to play, then get the next guy up and get them out of here. I want to see the will to win from the defensive. All I see are guys showing up for a check mark. This isnā€™t Cowboy football.
