Based on Gundyās press conference I would say you should probably hope for a losing season at this point. That seems to be the only way anything is going to change.

At this point, Iām hoping Gundy loses the bowl streak this year. I used to want Gundy to coach long enough to break Stoopsā record for wins, but after today: no more. He and the entire staff need to be gone at seasonās end. Buyout be damned.

Believe it or not, there are actually some āfansā that comment on this blog that seem to have no issues watching chitty football, and an OC that struggles to score a touchdown in the first half. I think PFB should have a poll conducted on here if Dunn and Dickey should stay or go. Would be interesting to see the percentage of people who would actually vote to retain both of them.
Problem is that Gundy will just replace them with more low-level coaches, yielding similar results. No up and coming coordinator wants to coach under him. Gundyās not leaving until he gets ready, but until we have a new HC, nothing is going to change. Heās driven this program into the ground at the worst possible time.

The bowl streakās days are coming to an end. It just feels inevitable at this point.
It was a cool record, but I feel like it has to fail in order to build something exciting again.
You either die young as a hero, or live long enough to become the villain. Gundy is now the villain.

Gundy could help himself a bit though. Look at the opening quote from the Mizzou head coach after they got boat-raced by A&M. Gundy could learn a lesson on ownership here.

So Iām the guy who wanted to bring the positives after the Arkansas game. After this game, I got nothing. Not one thing.

Only thing positive from the Arkie game was the fact we won. Same poor gameplan. Same mediocre execution. But thanks to 7 effective Arkansas turnovers, we managed an overtime victory. We gave up over 600 yards to them.

The only positive was that the coaching staff for Arkansas decided to be stupid, and the entire Arkansas team decided to beat themselves.
If not for Arkansas beating themselves, weād be 2-4. Think about that for a bit.

Yea I tried but couldnāt listen to the post game conference. I have an aversion to someone lying to my face. Iād rather go into the corner and cut myself than listen to that BS.
Gundy always states he is not sure and would need to watch the film. How can he possibly make any sort of adjustment during a game if he does not know what the hell is going on. Is he there simply as a spectator?

I think the overall problem is that we have no one waiting in the wings player wise that can turn things around. Forget about the coaches we likely donāt have a team that can compete for the foreseeable future. Not sure how we got here but here we are.
Iāll give you my opinion, they sucked The qb was terrible, OL was bad , and the defense was worse than them. So Iām not giving excuses. Youāve become used to winning most of the time which we never had before so now you expect a win every game. So Iām not making excuses. Donāt text back with the bunch of garbage I know you will. It either gets fixed or maybe you buy Gundy out ?
