Instant Recap: Oklahoma State Rallies Past Texas Tech to Win 41-31

The Cowboys have won 12-straight home games.

Well that was “fun”. If you can call for a fair catch on an on side kick why don’t teams always do that?

It has to be none quick and by the guy its at

Glad we won, but geez we need to work on our red zone offense and pass defense. I thought halftime adjustments were fine.

Would only work on a straight up and down as well. A grounder or a pop-up would have already hit the ground. It was brilliant, though.

Edit: Actually, a pop-up would still be protected. Teams will start doing squibs probably.

I’ll take the win, but man this does not give me a lot confidence going to Fort Worth next week to take on TCU.

Who all went down with injuries? Do any of them look like people could miss significant time? As in - are we screwed next week against TCU?

Springfield didn’t come back, I don’t think.

The ball has to be in the air not bouncing along the ground

Tech ran 104 plays against us…yikes! We definitely have things to work on. But I would rather have things to work on then trying to douse the flames on sooner schooner as it’s going over a cliff into a lake of lava….

Also Daniel’s will be out for the TCU game due to that targeting.

I don’t know what to think of this game. Gundy was right on when earlier this week he predicted that TT would throw the ball at least 60 times. It was frightening watching TT controlling the game the first half, passing at will. Too many missed tackles.
Can’t complain about the secondary because we already knew they are learning on the fly and any opposing coach is going to attack that weakness if he has a QB who can pass. Once again, Cowboys make a backup QB look like a star.
I think the game was closer than it needed to be because of a major coaching mistake. It was evident that Bray was not able to play up to his potential, while Greene was playing great. But the coaches kept trying to pass to Bray. Greene should have been the main target the whole game except for giving him breathers. I think he could eventually play at the level of Tay Martin. By not keeping Green in the game, at least 2 scoring opportunities were lost. I think the coaches realize that. You keep throwing to the guy who has the hot hand. I’m not sure what happened to the defense the first half. I agree with Jarrod. I too am concerned about going forward in the schedule. Never would have thought we should be afraid of playing KU!
Has Texas righted the ship, or is OU struggling that badly?
To sum it up, an ugly win and the coaches better figure this out. Too many missed opportunites to score. And SS had to sacrifice his health to pull this game out. I hope none of those injuries we saw will keep guys out. Cowboys got really lucky today. The team that was in better physical condition pulled out the W. I thought SS usually had enough protection time to pass, but the coverage by Tech was smothering. Does this mean that our routes are so routine that opposing teams already know where the ball is most likely going? Teams sure seem to have figured out how to cover JPR. I wonder if it will be awhile before Jake Schultz gets another target? Maybe the adrenaline was just too much when he was wide open but dropped it? Did not bode well for using more Cowboy back plays. Will we still be number 7 after this close encounter to a lesser team?

Agree with forcing ball to Bray. Work him in but go with what got you where you are, undefeated. Green is a player. Bray will come along. Poor tackling hurt the Pokes. Thankfully they improved in the second half.

I’m like @tai i don’t know what to take from this game other than everyone will have games like this during a year. When we brought the heat it worked, don’t know why we didn’t do more of it. Tackling was poor at times. Ford seems to be about back to his old self.
Sanders was totally exhausted at the end. Cramping up. He didn’t throw the ball well today either. OL didn’t protect as well, receivers were covered a lot. Should have gone to Presley more too along with Greene Taco played like the underdog today. Held nothing back
I hope we take care of the Frogs next week. We lived to play again undefeated

I agree, a lot of missed tackles and couldn’t not figure out the force feeding to Bray. My biggest concern though is our offensive line got whipped all day until that 4th quarter. If they play better where sanders has time and we have some semblance of rushing game this is over in the first half. Really concerns me because I thought after last week I thought our line had turned a corner.

I bet they drop OSU one spot and move Tennessee up one spot.

After a Cowboy W I always feel good. But not so tonight. I think my less than elated mood might be because our team now does not look as good as we thought it was after the Baylor game. Lack of good running game because of the O-line play. Talented receivers but they could not get open. But Gundy did warn us that every game would be a dog fight. I guess, as fans, we’re not used to such parity in this conference, thus we might not see any games this season where we dominate. The fear factor of losing some games has just gone up several degrees. How many plays were unsuccessful because of the high snaps from the backup center? I think that would throw off the timing and the speed at which SS could play. Cardiac Cowboys are back in the saddle.

Only out the first half

Tough Win but a Huge Win! Running the table isn’t going to be easy never is. Main thing is Cowboys were tested The Cowboys met fire with fire. Tough group of kids and proud of the way they handled the adversity. Cowboys are the tops dogs in the conference they are gonna get everyone’s best game. It is a feeding frenzy right now with Texas and Ou’s blood in the water, the title is up for grabs.
