Did you even watch the game? We had a lineman whiff on picking up a block (I’m not surprised as that seems to be the norm now) and Rangel was creamed as he was trying to throw the ball.
Even when the line would block for Bowman he keeps going backwards and throwing off his back foot. Not moving up and throwing a pass forward hardly. It’s funny to me how people gave SS hell for doing such things, but here we are with guys making excuses for a QB that’s in his sixth year of CF. No wonder the coaches deemed him worthy has third string at Michigan. I can agree there were some passes the receivers should’ve caught. While you’re focused on that I’m trying to explain to you that a six year CF QB looked more like a true freshman than a tenured college QB. I don’t just look at one thing and make my assessment. I look at the overall body of work.
I’m sure it was. That’s just why the RB ran clear through his intended route without a defender in sight. Yet Bowman takes of like he’s Lamar Jackson or something .
It was broken. It’s the OL, QB, and OC positions that are broken. I was under the impression we pay a guy 7.5 mil+ to fix those issues, but I guess he wants to get fired because he decided to retain those issues.
Hopefully the entire offensive coaching staff if our offense continues to look anything like it did last night. Eventually, if this continues they’ll start taking a hard look at the guy in charge of the entire program.
The difference here was at least they were playing G5 teams and a P5. Based on what I had seen last night. OSU could’ve easily lost to Wyoming, Texas State, or Colorado. You better be lucky that we always play an FCS opponent right out the gate.
