Justin Bowick’s Rapid Rise from Eastern Illinois to Power Conference Star

‘I just think he’s a guy that’ll really blossom into a really major NFL-type guy that they’re gonna want to see next year in this system.’

What does the receivers room look like?

1s Bowick, Young, Barnes

2s Polk?(height), Lewis?(slot), Weir?(speed)

Remaining Receivers:
Jackson 6’1” - Lopez 5’11” - Powell 6’2” - Thornton 5’11” - Harris 6’1” - Coleman 5’6” - Hjlmet 6’1” - Baptiste 5’5” - Watts 5’10” - Shelton 5’11”

Desperately (IMHO) need to get a couple more tall receivers (DD, Ateman, etc.)

“For (a brutal) reference, the Cowboys had just seven touchdowns through the air last season in total.”

Yep…very pathetic indeed. I’m willing to bet we at least quadruple that this upcoming season.

We’ve got a 6’4 true freshman incoming, but yeah we’re lacking in height there

Forgot about him, whew… thanks.

Presley didn’t prove to you a guy doesn’t need height to be a great receiver? :sob:

‘I just think he’s a guy that’ll really blossom into a really major NFL-type guy that they’re gonna want to see next year in this system.’ — I think Morris means THIS YEAR since Bowick is a RD senior…no???

I liked Presley and Tyreek although he was not used properly, the main point is at times it is helpful to have a bigger receiver run that fade to the corner of the end zone, etc. A mix of height is helpful - DD, Ateman

We had a TE who is 6’7" and NEVER threw to him in the red zone. We lost Bedlam one time when that’s all Gumby knew, fade in the end zone.

Key phrase in your critique highlighted: if a TE is in the route tree along with a Bowick type receiver, another dangerous receiver, and a strong back like Hawkins (pleasantly surprised to see his weight up, even if he slims down to improve quickness), then it looks much much more like when Dana or Todd were calling the plays and i like those odds.

And Weeden and Blackmon called that play money.
