I doubt they ( players ) would have been fine with Sanders getting a bye with missing all the bowl practices and no penalties. Sanders also got in a fight with JPR, said that was it for JP so take from that what you want. Your 5th year senior qb should be the one everyone looks to.

Of all you mention here ketchups, the only players I hated to see go were JPR and Cobb.
Johnson isnāt starting for Houston, Green is running second team at Whishy , Etinne was the lowest graded lineman we had last year Harper would have helped. , wasnāt the player his brother was Ford and Richardson are what they are
@michael13 Iām not asking what type of players they are now. I know they wouldāve started at OSU & helped. In a major way. No one can honestly look at the defections and spin it in any way other than s negative.
But a few people on here take shots at Sanders, who was up & down. But for the fans of a program that has ZERO QBās right now to say these players that left were prima donnas without blaming the coaching staff too?? Thatās laughable

No, I would simply suggest next time you lose an All-Conference QB you probably shouldnāt try to replace him with a third string QB that hasnāt played a snap in two years. Youāre the football expert here. Donāt know why youāre asking me.

Ketchup Iām far from being an expert of football. Iāve never coached , I wouldnāt want the headache of trying to please 100 ball players
My thought on Bowman is that he could manage intermediate throws and hand the ball off to a RB
This OL isnāt good enough for Tom Brady to have time to throw the ball. Iām not high on Rangle , GG is an adequate back up. Maybe itās both , Gundy and Sanders fault not being here. I am smart enough to know he would be better than what we have ā¦ā¦ same as OU last year when the starting qb went down you had nothing to go to

Donāt compare OUās starter going down during a game to Sanders leaving in December. Gundy & Co had 8 months to find a starting QB. OU did that. They got Gabriel, who has turned into a pretty good ballplayer. OU had no adequate backup. Gundy not finding a starting QB after 8 months is not the same as OU not finding a backup during the season.
@KetchupSicle hang on man. I think I stated Sanders would be a much better option than what we have. Gundy thought he was in on two other qbs and had to settle for Bowman. Thatās the long and short of it Gundy likes Flores but heās a true freshman, Iāll bet he gets to play in 4 games though ā¦ you say OU had a serviceable go when Gabriel went down ? ? That deserves an extra question mark ā¦. Canāt remember the kids name that played but he was pretty bad

@michael13 No. What I said was āOU had no adequate backupā. I never said serviceable. The backup was arguably the worst QB thatās ever taken a snap in an OU uniform and thatās absolutely a misstep on OUās part. But, OU did go out and get a starter thatās shown he can play. OSUā¦ā¦has not.

OUās backup is better than any of the 3 we have taking snaps. Arnold is a 5 star for a reason. And it was smart of Brent to name him backup instead of Davis Beville or whoever played against Texas last year when Gabriel got hurt.
I canāt be happier with how Brent & Co have managed the portal & recruiting. He initially wasnāt going to entertain the portalā¦ā¦but you have to. Itās part of the process. Gundyā¦doesnāt care about any of that enough. Insists upon doing things his way even to the detriment of the program. Itās a microcosm of why football is valued at OU and isnāt at OSU. Why 1 program has 7 Nattyās and the other has 0.
I honestly, truly feel like Gundy is the most arrogant, stubborn dude you will come across. There is zero rhyme or reason for handling this thing as he has. None. I honestly donāt know anyone can defend it with a straight face. Loyal and true is part of the backbone of the University and its fanbase. Loyal and true TO THE UNIVERSITY. Not a Coach. Gundy thinks HE is the university. Man I hated going through the Lincoln Riley debacle as an OU fan. So I take no joy in watching you guys with this junk. But itās going to get worse. If the portal was unkind to the Cowboys this yearā¦ā¦.wait until next year. This roster is not any good right now and I donāt see it getting better.

Last Saturday, I had flashbacks to the 0-10-1 Pat Jones 1991 season. First time in 32 years. Even my dad has said he may not come back to another home game this season. And weāve been season ticket holders for 30+ years. As far as offense goes, it was the lowest production of the Gundy era possibly. With no hope moving forward.
I think I said the same for OSU that we didnāt get the qb that we wanted , we got one that MIGHT be serviceable if the OL was better. It isnāt and he isnāt. Do we are in the same position OU was last year

Riley took the team with Williams, itās funny players follow a head coach instead of the school. You just mentioned it in another post. Say what you want Riley can get recruits on offense, defense is get get enough to slow them down a little
