Itās better than nothing I suppose. Iām looking at the 20th best defense vs the 124th best defense and it worries me.
The way our running game and defense have performed so far does not instill any confidence in me for todayās game. Guess we shall see soon enough.

Hereās my view. oSu has been playing hookie in the run game. Less film on the run game this season the better. Ollie is about to go off.

I concur. What is the point of having the āwholeā playbook if it never gets used? Itās like holding on to plays and concepts and shelving them like trophies.
They need to come out and run the whole ā ā ā ā playbook today and next week. At least we will know if the whole playbook is effective or not.
And if it is not effective, then maybe that will force the coaching staff to seriously reevaluate the offense, and perhaps even elevate the offense/play calling instead of never opening up the āwholeā playbook and holding on to plays and concepts that were never going to be effective to begin with.

I donāt think so. What you see is what you get. Dunn isnāt going to do anything much different Iām afraid. They only adjust things typically when we lose, and lose big.

I believe what Iām seeing. Have you not watched OSU football since South Bama last season? We had multiple games where we were down in the first half, and didnāt adjust squat until halftime. One reason we won was because we had better overall conditioning, and won the turnover battle mostly.
Same thing happened with Arkansas. Utah isnāt a team you want to be down by double digits at the half against.
Utah:
Total Defense- 20th
Pass Defense- 25th
Rush Defense- 46th
Theyāre not going to be like any team weāve faced so far. You call me cynical and Iām just merely looking at the matchup. Defense wins championships, and last time I checked we donāt have one thatās anywhere close to that. Maybe if we win the turnover margin and capitalize on Utahās mistakes weāll win. The main thing we need to do is keep our defense off the field.
