I kept saying it all offseason. You hire proven coordinators. Not people that got fired from other places. There’s a reason for that.

So honest question: Through 3 quarters, other then Hejny, who has stood out for OSU?
We’ve given up 8 TFLs. Running backs have been completely non-existent. And defensively, we’ve been basically a bend but don’t break and its worked against an FCS school, but they’ve crossed the 50 on 6 different possessions, and only managed 7 points. Better teams are going to convert more of those possessions into points.
It’s certainly not the coaches.

Here are my thoughts on this. The 2018 team went 6-6, and they would’ve beaten this team by 35-40 points. Can anyone say after this game this team is going to reach 6 wins?
I think Vailahi ought to emerge as RB1 after this.
So for me first thought is it’s not good. However we are playing pretty much all new players with two QB’s where this is their first D1 game so I’m reserving judgement for a while longer.
