Yea….but we’re not going to win it. If we’re bad enough to lose by 25+ to G5 teams then were bad enough to lose by 50 to Texas.
Why do our defenders NEVER look back for the ball?
Based on what I’ve seen today I’d be more worried about beating Houston and BYU. That’s just my two cents though.
Because they have a D2 DC that never practices 3rd and long, and most likely doesn’t teach his corners how to defend either.
One word……Gundy.
We could easily lay another turd. Especially on the road. I had hopes we had turned the corner after the seemingly poor decision to split QB and RB reps in the first 3 games. Perhaps that would keep our guys fresh down the stretch. I think we lost an Olineman for this game too but our problem today was defense and lack of it.
That’s what I totally expect to happen. Gundy doesn’t win championships. He only wins bowl games. Championships scare Gundy to death. They probably would me too if I never won them either.

Dunn blew his waud last week and could not come up with a good enough plan in a week. Trends I just see time over and over year after year. Gundy got out coached by a better scheming coach. Gundy is pretty a pretty simple minded person.

While the players play the game and ultimately, their performance determines the outcome of a game, when it is close, coaching can make the difference. When it is a blowout, that is the fault of the coaches. The talent is there. They had no idea what to do with it.

Defense wins championships. Nardo doesn’t appear to have the smarts to get it done. Too bad, since he just started being in charge of our “defense”.
I keep seeing “it’s the Defense’s fault”. Definitely poor Defense today no doubt.
I personally assumed UCF would score about 30 points - they do have some dudes on Offense.
Likewise I assumed OState would score closer to 40 pts given the weak UCF Defense.
I do want to point out that Dunn pitched a TD free game for us today. He’s got enough talent on the Offense but couldn’t conjure up a single endzone trip. This is a serious issue.

Just leisurely read through the comments here and I am really glad that I decided to turn off the game in the middle of the 2nd qtr and go take a long nap lol. Now for the glass half full take. The best I can tell and while not ideal all we need is for ISU to drop one to KSU or Texas and for us to win the next two and we are in the B12 cc. Also I’m now convinced that this is a true jekll and hyde team and are capable of beating anyone in the b2 cc. Just don’t ever think that you can predict who will show up.

That is partly incorrect. Read Berry Tramels article or if your in Tulsa on Fridays go see Pat Jones, he is at midtown Kia. He’ll tell you things he won’t say on air. He had no choice to go to Ole Miss because of what his degree he is getting. Ole Miss wasn’t his first choice. Unless I’m wrong he can still graduate transfer. He hasn’t played in more than 4 games I believe. Auburn was actually his first choice. We’ll see after this season. If he can go play somewhere else and start I’ll wager a lot of money he’ll have a break out season in an offense built around him.
Barry doesn’t know the full story. Sanders wanted to see what was out there. He found out not a lot of takers. He comes back after bowl practice is over and wants back in, Gundy said okay but you aren’t starting. Pissed him off. That would’ve set a good precedent for the other players if he was allowed back and started. He could have set a quarter and then played

I always liked Sanders, tough, gave it 100, terrific competitor but he fed up not taking several hundreds thousands dollars in money plus a new truck, new bass boat. Wonder what Ole Miss gave him to sit on the bench

You should be asking yourself why every coach in the conference has been able to score a touchdown against UCF, but the greatest coach in school history failed to do so.
