Howard and Allar stunk it up against the Jets. Can’t believe they’re gonna keep 4 QBs on the roster. As a Steelers fan I wasn’t excited w/ the Allar pick, I don’t think he ever becomes better than average. They should’ve waited the next draft. Thought they might trade Rudy if he didn’t ball out, but it wasn’t even close, the competition between Howard and Mason.
I wish they would trade Mason to a team that could use a QB and give him a year to play and see what he can do. The Steelers have really screwed him. The Vikings would be a good team despite signing Murray. O’Connell turned around Sam Darnold.

I doubt they would start a guy like Mason over JJ McCarthy. The Steelers did cause the O-line, once he got his shot, was turrible! Way below average and once it got better, the opportunity he got then he did well and led them to three consecutive wins in a row to secure a wildcard…and then they still didn’t believe in him.
JJ is terrible. The Vikes are going to eventually dump him. Everyone here in MN knows it. He has not progressed and only throws 1 type of ball, a fast ball with no touch whatsoever. He is also fragile and hurt all the time. He just got hurt again. Carson Wentz will be the No.2. Murray will be here to stay if he has a good year.
Do you really believe they would start Rudolph over JJ though? Reason why a lot of QBs in the NFL don’t get a good shot is they can’t start a guy drafted in later rounds when they got a first-round pick, makes the brass look inept, which many are, but it’s not easy evaluating college QBs for the pro game. Still it’s easier to predict busts than those who are good to great.
Yes, JJ is either going to be cut or traded. It has been in the news here with a lot of rumors. JJ’s attitude is not good either since he did not get the starting job. He sucked in preseason, I mean terrible. And he now is hurt again. JJ Jeffereson our star receiver was probably going to demand a trade of JJ was the QB.
There is a chance Kevin O’Connell our HC and a QB whisperer could turn Mason around like he did with Darnold. He could do nothing to save JJ though, the talent is not there. Mason was on a team with Big Ben R. who did nothing to help Mason. Big Ben was a selfish pig, a great QB but a rapist and selfish.
He went to the Titans and he chose to go back to Pittsburgh, right? I think he’s a good backup and that’s it. Rogers may very well miss games this season, though. He’ll probably get starts.
Ain’t no way they’ll cut him, got too many $$$ riding on that experiment. He’ll be with the team this season. I hear you on gRAPElisburger, I can’t stand that guy and the Steelers are my team and have been for a long time. I read every article about the two incidents he was involved in and IMO he basically admitted, in a different way he was guilty of the “thing” that happened in Georgia w/ the coed. Anyone else would be in prison what he did to her. He said the other day they should get rid of Mason, dude must’ve gotten some interest from Pig Pen Ben’s wife or something, hah hah.
The writing is on the wall for JJ. They just resigned Max Brosmer to the practice squad and Carson Wentz is the back up QB. They have lost all confidence with JJ. Always hurt, can’t handle or run the offense in his 3rd year. Has no finesse or soft touch on balls, he just throws a fastball. His deep throws are iffy. They know that they totally misjudged him. He played behind a great OL at Michigan which made him look good. QB’s that are great in college with an average OL seem to do better in the Pro’s. The Pro game is so fast that many cannot adjust to it and JJ is one such QB.
