all of the “better teams” lost yesterday besides us (FAU was ranked higher)
so a win would have set us up nice to maybe win the thing, but alas this tournament is mostly for experience and that game gave them a lot to learn from
that said Miami is going to be tough, they have really good guards and play slow

It’s always a problem in CBB I feel like, but it’s been extra insane this year. I watched the Arizona-Wisconsin game last week and they took a combined 87(!) free throws

we talked about biggest problems last game my opinion besides the obvious:
Ousmane only getting 12 minutes due to foul trouble, he is too important to us

I saw they averaged 98 a game and thought “slow?!” So I looked them up. 55% shooting on the year is insane.
This team is really good for stretches and then really bad for stretches. It’s like they get some momentum going and then start forcing possessions like a hot handed shooter would and let other teams go on runs. They’re clearly good enough to win a solid amount of games, they just need to stay a little more focused throughout the entire game. Their effort is phenomenal though. That’s all you can ask for sometimes.

Averaging triple figures on a pace that slow is unbelievably efficient. But OSU’s pressure is so legit right now that Miami is having tons of fits with it.

For sure. I missed the first few minutes and turned it on when it was 9-0 lol. But they look really clean.

I know our offense still needs work but the shots we take/get are good and this is still night and day from the last few years

They were getting great looks yesterday too. Just weren’t falling. Funny what good offensive coaching will do, I feel like some of MB’s recent teams had better quality shooters than this team but they could never get good shots.
