Gordon slid all the way to the sixth but lands in South Beach.

Congrats and best of luck.

Good landing spot. Dolphins utilize multiple backs. They let Mostert go, could use a change of pace with Achane. Definitely will be carries there.

Couldn’t have done this without Kasey Dunn. I mean, couldn’t have fallen to the sixth round.

NFL scouts aren’t stupid. If you read the scouting reports, his negatives are his physical limitations. The ones I’ve read essentially say to throw 2024 oit and look at his 2023 season.

I’m glad Dunn is gone, but he had nothing to do with Ollie running a surprisingly slow 4.61 at the combine. That doomed him more than anything.

Chris Carson ran for3,502 yards in the NFL when his career was cut short. Do you think Ollie will surpass that number?

I’ll say yes. Miami’s had an explosive offense and a productive backfield of late.

I hope I’m wrong, but I don’t think so. I see Ollie having a career similar to Rashaad Penny who finished with 1,951 yards for his career

I’m not sure. I mean on the one hand our offensive scheme fell flat on its face this year, but Ollie in 2023 was special. On the other side Dunn & Co had nothing to do with him running a 4.61 at the combine. I could see him be a rotated back and get between 500-800 a year but if you’re not special then eventually the team will cut you rather than pay you on the veteran pay scale and then they just draft another rookie and start over.

Running backs aren’t as coveted as they used to be in the NFL. Ollie will shine catching the ball out of the backfield. If he has a decent OL in front of him he will have a little success

Possibly. Running back injuries are when, not if. He’ll get a chance, but so did Penny.

Penny was also drafted in the first round, so his leash was a lot longer. Ollie is going to have to earn it. I think he’s capable, but it’s hard to ignore last year!
