I’m happy for him. I think he make an impact. I don’t think he will start, but could play on 3rd down and of course special teams.
I think he has a good chance of starting. Niners are thin at linebacker. They’ve gone heavy on defense in the draft. I think they’re looking for starters.

Agree with Champ. Niners LB room is thin.
Also, consider that only 1 off ball LB went in the first round - being taken in the 3rd round at that position is a huge investment and vote of confidence. I have to imagine they want him to be a day one starter.

I had not kept up with their free agency moves. I see ESPN already has him listed as a starter at weak side LB. Kudos to Martin.
