Preseason football kicks off with a couple of Cowboys finding the end zone.

Chris Lacy still playing what , 5 years now ? And never was a featured receiver. Just worked hard and never complained

He kinda bounces around on practice squads, which still is good money. He has earned 1.3M and he is only 27. He has 3 career catches, all with the Lions in 2019.

He’s also a smart guy and takes care of his money too. He’s probably earned 3 times what he’s been paid putting it in the right places

Sure he has….

He has an engineering degree so I’d say Michael is probably right about him being wise with his NFL earnings. 3x is quite excessive though so I doubt that part.

Maybe not DSBS. but he has always had a very strong work ethic. He probably has connections I could only hope for

i like preseason and it was awesome to see mason rudolph looking sharp.

it’s so much about being in the right place at the right time. i feel like a lot of these guys are good enough, they just need to be given that chance at the right time.
my landlord is an old guy from ames iowa, so we’re always watching football and basketball together, and for me iowa state has become a (distant) second favorite to me. because ultimately they are very similar to oklahoma state in a lot of ways. anyway, because i loosely followed iowa state i knew of brock purdy, and so i was kinda following purdy and brees hall in the same way. and it was odd that purdy got selected last in the draft, but i remember early in the season thinking 'what a great gig to be backup to jimmy g, whom we all know is injury prone … and on a super bowl caliper team, nonetheless…" and sure enough, look what happens. right place, right time.

Stoner was a baller from his freshman year on, except for the year he missed on the injury list. They played him in the slot and WR also. Kid just loves playing
