No need to put the “in Stillwater” part in here.

I was trying to be nice to the Chili’s fans, but I have never had a good experience at any of the restaurants. The one in Stillwater is just particularly bad

Their menu has promise but the food is very plastic-y

Ever had their ribs? They taste pretty good but they’re super tough. Hard to tear the meat off.

Sadly, this is true in my real life too.

I’ve gotten TRASHED at the Chilis a couple of times, had a friend who bartended there for a few months and I took full advantage

I’m probably going to light a :fire: in here for this post, but here goes…

Like many, I was excited to see the Paris 2024 Olympic Opening Ceremony with my family. Overall, it was very impressive.

But there was one major exception which completely blindsided me. There was a drag queen performance with overt X-rated sexual foreplay while mocking the Last Supper.

Like how in the world did that divisive mockery of the Last Supper during what was supposed to be a family friendly, world unifying event represent the Olympic spirit? :woman_facepalming:

On a more positive note (literally and figuratively) was the performance of Celine Dion - who happens to be celebrated by both those within and outside the LGBT community. Her Opening Ceremony performance was unifying for all and amazing :musical_note: . Really awesome story about her fighting back from Stiff Man Syndrome (neurological disease) in order to re-learn how to sing and move on stage.

I thought it was the feast of Dionysus?

It was, and besides, they kinda spoofed everything. The whole ceremony was irreverent.

I thought the blue dude dressed up as Dionysus would have made that clear, but i guess not? This is what the director said when asked about it:

“We wanted to include everyone, as simple as that,” he said. "In France, we have freedom of creation, artistic freedom. We are lucky in France to live in a free country. I didn’t have any specific messages that I wanted to deliver. In France, we are republic, we have the right to love whom we want, we have the right not to be worshippers, we have a lot of rights in France, and this is what I wanted to convey.”

Absolutely. We have become a lazy society. No research. No willingness to use the brain God gifted us with. No learned critical analysis skills. Just take it and run with it.

I don’t get it, but that’s top 3 on my wife’s “last meal” list if she’s ever set for execution :joy:

Right there with ya brother. It’s absolutely nuts.

In some cases internet has been a god send, and I think as a progressive society we’re better off with it overall, but as far as educational advancements go it’s dangerous. You can get anyone to believe anything you want. And it’s really not hard at all. People are easily gullible.

Context is an issue too. It means nothing anymore. Someone says something and you’re allowed to go “I choose to assume you meant ___ instead and my version of your intent is more important / correct than your intended version, so we are now allowed to deem you a bad person.”

That happens about once every second. Happens on this forum daily.

That’s not a very high bar to begin with. But to be fair, I’m also not very high on the Vance wagon as VP.

So the Australians don’t like listening to the Star Spangled Banner, huh? I need all of the US athletes at the Olympics to channel MJ and take that personally

Yeah, they are apparently related to @Dribble :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Sorry ‘bout that, In-N-Out
