Should have declined the nomination out of sheer disdain for how the NCAA has treated OSU in recent years, from twice being last four out as well as the post-season ban.

At least he can be completely neutral since he has no dog in the fight.

Purely a marketing scheme conjured up by Yormak.
I would have had Chad announce a media session to explain that he has been nominated for that NCAA committee but because of his lack of respect for what the NCAA did to OSU, he doesn’t want to be associated with any NCAA committee, and therefore, he has rejected the offer.
This would have been a great opportunity to take a potshot at NCAA. But I suppose athletic politics prevents any kind of revenge.
This is ironic for a couple of reasons and none in a good way
Chad needs to focus on fixing the Ok State basketball program as a priority. We are in year 7 of a bad basketball hire and find ourselves in last place. Tickets sales will drop further if it’s not fixed. This is a critical time for college sports to put their best foot forward or risk being left behind.
