STILLWATER — Oklahoma State’s path to Big 12 title contention will likely take everything this team has (maybe more) and that road got a little spookier on Monday morning when the announcement came out that the Oct. 31st game at Iowa State will now take place at 6 p.m. That’s right Halloween night in Ames, what could go wrong? (Insert spooky music and lightning bolt flash here). If you’re just checking box scores, its obvious things aren’t going well up in Ames, Iowa, but what might get missed is how competitive the Cyclones (3-3, 1-2 Big 12) have been despite being largely viewed as one of the worst teams in the conference during the offseason. As it turned out, everyone forgot to give that memo to the Cyclones. They led current No. 15 Iowa for most of the day and didn’t trail for the first time until the final 15 seconds, eventually losing by three points. After winding up in a huge hole, the Cyclones scored back-to-back touchdowns against now No. 10 Utah to put themselves in a one-score game with 11 minutes to play, eventually losing by 14 points. They added some interest back into their matchup with now…

Gosh b12, an 11:00AM start woulda been preferable here…

Good grief. What could wrong with a night game in Aimes?? I’m not sure an 11:00 kick would make a difference- but would certainly rather have that.

Remember the night game at Ames in 2011…

Would much prefer a day game for that week
