Tepas is unranked, but Morris has said himself he doesn’t care about recruiting stars at the QB position.
6-foot-4 and 205 pounds and from the looks of it can run a sub 4.6. Not a bad combination. Going off his highlights, even though he has wheels he does keep his eyes downfield and is a throw-first type player from the look of it.
17.3 yards per completion in his Sr. Season and I can see why, seems to have great touch and placement on deep routes based on his tape.
His shorter throws to the sidelines though need to be faster on the release. That is something that is coach-able and can develop fairly quickly, especially with trust in the receivers. Right now he seems to hesitate and wait for the receiver to make their cut or stop before he releases the ball. Several times in his tape this almost lead to a deflection or pick and he just got lucky. That won’t fly in D1.
Is Hejny still on the roster or has he announced he is entering portal?
No word on that yet, otherwise PFB will report it!
The article states that this quarterback has a passer rating of 122. That is the NFL version. His NCAA passer rating would be 181.4
My question too.
I would love to have Mestemaker and Hejny. I know Mestemaker is Morris’ guy, but any offensive minded person has to like what they see from Hauss.
Hopefully he’s as good as Wes Lunt
Yeah, if he sticks around that’s fine, but there are pros and cons to that.
I am sad for Flores. I get the feeling the culture shift ruined his experience at OK St. I wish him luck, and am extra critical of all the decision makers for putting you in that place to begin with if you were so far behind. Even if Hejny was the reason. Not sure why Hejny would stay either, unless he didnt get NIL for being hurt. He was fun to watch man.
Blame that bu$t on Gumby. Just like he made mistakes with Alex Cate over Weeden and before that Bobby Reid over Donovan Woods.
What hurt Flores was getting hurt right before 2024 season. I feel worse for Maealiuaki Smith, who IMO, looked like he had more talent than anyone on that team and should’ve been QB1 from the start. Made the wrong decision to go to Ole Miss.
I’m not a QB evaluator, but the tape looks great to me. Solid pocket presence, keeps his eyes downfield, throws with touch and timing. Has good size and athleticism. Seems to check all the boxes
Bobby Reid was way better than Donovan Woods.
