OSU makes the staff hires official.

I’m surprised JW hasn’t worked his way up a little quicker. Glad to see the ex-players getting a chance to prove themselves.

What I was going to say. I thought JW had some sort of position coach position ?

This basically says “…everyone except ME was the problem last year.”

We got rid of the frauds Dickey, Dunn, Nardo, Randolph, and Rattay. This new staff should tell us how good our HC truly is.

I feel like Gundy has done enough to settle the grievences most of us fans had with the state of the system.
Also, the 180 into the portal full tilt VS sticking with the recruiting facet only was wise again.

We will now see how important that continuity that was proselitized for years really is.
Hate that we’ve been spoiled with 8+ wins man, not in the fan sense, in the expectation one.

Now I don’t really care if it’s a brand new everything, it all was bought and paid for with NIL & millions of dollars.
When you pay employees to perform, and they do not, you let them go, Or, they let themselves go.

These no longer qualify as ameteur athletes. They are being paid contracts to perform.

I’m satisfied with Gundy’s and his leadership’s correction.
The players coming in through the portal are intriguing also.

Hope Grantham brings in some experienced toughness and want to.

Hope big G. has the coaches in place to tell him to be the HC, let us run the O/D.
It’s literally why they were hired! If Meachum starts to turn into Dunn within the year, we know.

Excited to see the next season go! Change is scary for those whom are not it’s friend.
If D. Sanders can take Colorado from losing to winning in 1 season, I believe we can do better.

I still want to know what happened to coach Wozniak. This whole coaching fiasco has left a bad taste in my mouth. I’m not familiar with hardly any of these names, so they inspire no confidence for me personally. The lead up to next season will be intriguing, but not exciting. The annual OKC Dave survey is going to be lit though.

My question is what’s it take? If Gundy goes 3-9 again does he get fired? How about 4-8 or 5-7? Remember it took 6 loosing seasons in row to get rid of Pat Jones. I think it’s still the same university with the same mentality. How many times have I been told " it can get worse, remember 0-10-1"?
Same way in basketball two good coaches don’t make You a basketball school. In basketball or football there’s zero desire to win the conference. Hell OU is more of a basketball school than OSU and as bad as they’ve sucked the last 5 years in football, they will never go 13 years without winning the conference and keep the same coach. (Even in the SEC)
So let’s all be loyal and true and keep the same mentality "Wait till next year " and "Best we can do ".

You’ll still get the same ole mediocre results unless you can convince the HC to change some of his ways. All Gundy did was go back to 2006. That’s fine if you don’t mind being 7-6. It’s not fine when you want to win a conference with no blue blood schools now, and you started the new conference off by being last with a 10 win roster the year prior.

We’ll see what happens. Dickey definitely had to go but I’m not convinced his replacements are going to work out. OL is THE most important group in the offense as they can make holes for the RBs and protect the QB on throws. People forget that when Barry Sanders won the Heisman we had one of the best OL in football. Same when Weeden was QB. Handing it to two guys who don’t have a lot of experience, especially on power 5 teams? To me, that’s the biggest risk of these new hires.

I’m curious to see where our former staff end up !

At what point will you know the replacements have worked out? Can you quantify that?

I’d argue that the OL can’t possibly be any worse than it was this past season. My hope would be that if the OL is a weakness, that unlike last year, the new schemes being put in place would minimize that issue. Pop passes, screens, etc…

I think Meachum is smart enough to generate enough offense to win a ballgame, my question is with the defense , it can’t be worse
Dickey gone should have happened 2 years ago even with Ollies big year

How many ball games?

Dunn should’ve been gone after the 2022 season.

Look idiot I’m not making predictions with a known liar. I just made a statement, you have to jump in with your negative BS. You are a complete imbecile on bashing the football team Last year is over you’ve made your two items posted at least 30 times. I’m not arguing with an idiot, Go see if you can find a friend besides your dad. No one else in here likes you

You’re not making predictions because Gundy found a way to go 3-9 with 19 returning starters. That trust you have in him is waning, isn’t it? Stop being delusional and just be honest for once.

I just asked one simple question you don’t want to answer at all costs. I’m fine with that. The silence tells me everything I need to know. Also, I said Dunn should’ve been gone just like you said about Dickey. How is that negative in any manner? It was obvious that both coaches were an issue and overstayed their welcome.

Same trash you always bring up
You’re an idiot

Spencer Sanders was the only reason Dunn and Dickey was around a bit longer. Guy had no offensive line, put his body on the line, and extended plays with his legs. Imagine how much better he’d been with a offensive line instead of having less than 2-3 seconds to make a decision almost every play. There was a time statistic on our offensive of how long they could block for the QB and we were at the bottom in our conference.

I would had kept Joe Bob Clement or whatever his name was. He produced decent linebackers.

I’m not sure 7-5 saves his job he’s going to have to go 9-3 minimum I would think. I like Doug Meacham he produced when he was here. Smith and Rangel with what we’ve seen from them should thrive for sure in his offense if we run it like we did with Zac Robinson.
