True, if they are good kids who aren’t lazy. I don’t think we have the right O-line coach to get those kinds of guys. Joe Wickline always had us in good shape but an ego clash with top dog made him leave.

Kid will flip again after he doesn’t hit the roster at least number 2 Supposed to be good talent but when you flip
3-4 times in a year and a half something isn’t right. Smith and Flores are supposed to be solid. Just have good arm and make good decisions we will be okay. He’s not beating out the starter at TCU … more than likely a large NIL sum that bill and jug never consider

I’m going to guess possibly making the CFP or potentially playing for a national title might be of more importance to him than the Texas Bowl.
Could be NIL but that doesn’t explain the 17 or 18 years before NIL when Gundy couldn’t recruit.
He can’t recruit and can’t win the conference.

Mack is 6-3 against Mike Gundy. Gundy also never beat a top 25 Texas team when Mack was there. In fact, the best Texas team Gundy beat while Mack was there finished 8-5. It’s not really as impressive as you try to make it out to be. You’re really getting desperate now, aren’t you?

Beating teams that can’t win isn’t something to brag about. Gundy was 0-5 against Texas when he first started. Unless Texas (for most of Gundy’s career) is a losing or mediocre team he’s not beating them. Get over yourself.
And the highest paid coach in the conference and soon to be 10th nationally. If you want better players then stop paying coaches seven figures for a Texas bowl appearance. Nothing will change in the recruiting budget until you make Weiberg aware that you don’t care about getting to the Texas Bowl.

Since 2020 we are 23-3 at home No one else in the B12 has a better record, even the two we lost. Gundy is 9-5 against Texas the last 14 years. Mack had the biggest budget all 14 years. Yea he caught lightning in a bottle winning the championship. You want titles like

Texas has two 10 win seasons since 2010. Gundy is 1-1 against those Texas teams. Gundy is 5-9 against Texas when they finish with a winning record. Gundy is 9-10 overall against Texas.
Since Mack left Texas Gundy is 6-4 against Texas. Before Mack left Texas Gundy was 3-6 against Texas.

Did you not see what I just posted? We mostly beat Texas when they suck. That’s like bragging about beating Alabama 20 years ago when they were on probation.
I give credit on a year-by-year basis. I have no problem admitting when a team is having a bad year. Just like I have no problem admitting Gundy does a good job of getting us to bowl games, but not necessarily winning titles.
Not really, I’ve watched four other Big 12 programs win the conference title since our last one. If anyone is getting owned right now, it’s Mike Gundy and the people too blind to see we can’t win another one even when a BB isn’t a factor in us winning another title .
