Oklahoma State Releases Spring Football Roster

A look at OSU’s updated football roster.

4 rotations of 3 safties? never seen 12 safties on a roster to date, stood out.

I’m trying to figure out why we have so many tight ends. Unless we plan on using them in the receiving game a lot it doesn’t make any sense.

I’m not used to this roster turnover, so many new names.
Again, who are our top 5 offensive and defensive players?

Could be a whole different ballgame in Stillwater conme September .

You gotta remember that with 105 scholarships now, there will be a little bit more at every position.

We’re betting the come on LBs.

Meacham was a tight end at oSu. Gone are the days of the underused Cowboy Back.

For better or worse, I think we’ll start seeing our TEs used as more than a hybrid lineman/fullback.

Jaden-Allen Hendrix may be a sleeper at RB with that 6’2” 230 build as a RS-FR. I see us using Fields as the quick back and Howland as the bruiser this year, but JAH and Fields could be the duo moving forward.

Having a Spring Scrimmage/game April 19th for the 1st time in ages will be fun. We’ll get to see all of these players and coaches go to work. GO POKES

That would be great wouldn’t it. There is at least one caveat though and Meacham mentioned it in todays news conference, as have many coaches said in the past, and that is a major defining influence to what you do is the ability of your personnel year to year. So if we have good TE’s we should see more TE play and if we don’t then we will not see as much TE play. It’s kind of like the laws of physics as there are boundaries that you can’t ignore.

We don’t have a scrimmage - fans get to watch 30 minutes of practice.

Yeah that’s about as obvious as it gets, Bruce. Thanks though.

Yea well a surprising number of folks here have a very hard time seeing the obvious, although another big problem is people making up their own version of the “obvious” out of thin air, so someone has to help in that regard
