Not the most inspiring of efforts. I had hoped Sheets might get a win over a higher ranked guy, but that 157 pounder from Lehigh was a hoss. We’ll see how they do as the level of competition goes up these next few weeks.

Lehigh guy was so much stronger than Sheets. At the start of this season I considered 157 to be a weak weight for us, meaning come tournament time that weight would likely not score many points.
It’s a pleasure to have Lee Roy Smith as commentator for ESPN+ matches. He sees and tells what we as fans are unaware of. Poor Harper, gets thrown in there at various weights but I guess he is happy just to get on the mat this season. Glad to hear that Iowa State has improved. The Big 12 really needs to get to a higher level.

I read that Brands wouldn’t do a home and home with us. Wonder why ? Doesn’t want us figuring out how to wrestle their guys
