Oklahoma’s top prospect will be a Cowboy.

There’s my answer!

I’m wondering if these players are committing to schools as additional leverage to secure bigger offers from blue bloods…? Maybe that is just the paranoia that I feel, but signing date is still 6 months away….

Oh I’m sure some these players do it and honestly don’t blame them. Hopefully, he isn’t and we hang on to him.

We can’t even live for today anymore we have to live for this minute.

But we can’t get them!!!

I don’t like being Debbie Downer about it, but until these kids sign, I’m just not sure about their commitment.

Hey champ,

Yessir, ol’ Gundy’s tearing it up!

I like the idea, the branding, the optics, the whatever of grabbing the top Oklahoma kids, staying local. I want to build pipelines, but brand loyalty is a thing. Inspire some state pride.

It is surprising that he didn’t commit to OU.
Venables is proven defensive mind and has sent plenty of players to the NFL. We have a new staff, so not as much track record there. I’m all for signing in state players. Definitely one that got away from the gooners.

More like hiring people that know how to recruit. Now let’s see if Gundy decides to choose seniority over talent :+1:.

Were they in on him? Maybe they didn’t want him or he didn’t fit the system.

Hey champ,

Yes, all those previously fired coordinators you said sucked (probably your most ignorant comment in a mighty pantheon of ignorant comments).

Everything bad that happens is Gundy, everything good that happens is someone else, yes, I get the theme.

If they were any good why were they fired? If you can’t win a single conference game returning the most starters in the conference. Then obviously you have a coaching issue :man_shrugging:.

Gundy is the one that hires them. So yes, he’s responsible for the good and bad hires he makes :+1:.

It is what it is these days man. Let’s just be happy today he picked us.

The article said OU was in his final 6.

Even better.

Nice pickup and nice to see our coaches finally caring about recruiting again. Too bad the damage of mediocre recruiting (the 3-9 carnage, head coach hotseat, and fan disillusionment) the past few years has already been done.
