Continuing the discussion from OSU Football: Cowboys Offer 6-foot-9 Tight End Dakota Terrell From Pocola:

I think we need a better TE’s coach not someone that should be coaching fallbacks or OL guys[quote=“PistolsFiring, post:1, topic:20761, full:true”]

If Osu had a btter TEs cosch we might be able land a kid like this

A 6’9" receiver/tight end would be a huge benefit catching seam passes over the middle. Linebackers wouldn’t be able to defend 5-10 yd passes up high.

“Terrell caught 29 passes for 549 yards and seven touchdowns last season as a junior, according to MaxPreps.”

He would be extremely lucky to get that as a “tight end” at OSU throughout his career. Even if he did commit to OSU, he would be in the transfer portal in no time to another school that actually utilizes their tight ends in the passing game. If he wants to be a glorified blocker then OSU would be the perfect fit for him.

Except we don’t do that at OSU. Why do you think Jelani Woods left?

Our offensive style is changing. We’re moving more towards the run, short pass game as we started to see last season. Gundy has even stated that the style is moving away from what we’ve seen in the past decade or so.

Yea….we’ll see.
