OSU Football Recruiting: The Three Big Remaining Needs in the 2020 Class

A look at major needs OSU still needs to fill in the 2020 class.

Hey Boone, there have been a lot of decommits at Arkansas since the Morris firing, does OSU have connections with any of them or with the commits they still have? I saw an OT Ty’kieast Crawford was 17% OSU on his last 247 crystal ball.

This reads like my shopping list at the liquor store, 2 of those, 3 or 4 of that. How many of the 25 spots have been filled for 2020? Can they get 2 RBs and 1 or 2 WRs and another OL, or do they have to limit one to make room for the other?

I was going to ask the same thing. OT Ty’kieast Crawford and OLB Cattrell Wallace, I hope OSU goes after them.

We only have wishes for the offense ?

@kyleboone what is the reasoning behind listing Sevion as a possible target at the RB position? Just seemed strange to list a guy who is A- Already committed, and B- Doesn’t have a offer list late in the process (especially since he’s a local guy). Just seems like an odd guy to list? Not that I don’t believe he shouldn’t have already been a target, but Woz hasn’t seemed interested at all in recruiting guys in state.

Maybe, but I’m dubious. They committed to Arkansas knowing full well that place was already a dumpster fire. Hard to say a full blown dumpster fire will suddenly cause them to change their minds.

Main reason: Nebraska is absolutely atrocious. And to this point, OSU has mostly missed on its targets in this class. If OSU comes down to the final days in the class and misses on all its targets, he seems like a reasonable player they could poach.

Woz hasn’t strayed entirely from in-state guys – he’s after Isaiah Jacobs, who is from Owasso – but Morrison was a cut below the level of player they’ve been after. If by December OSU is still in need of a RB, he might make for a fine backup plan if Morrison decides he doesn’t wanna play for an awful Nebraska program.

Those are all good points. To be fair tho most would feel the same if it was Justice being recruited this season coming out of high school. I would much rather look with my eyes than what the guys are rated. Glass was a 4 star high school AA and he definitely didn’t look it in his short stint as well as his reputation he earned by showing up overweight. I just think Woz could do a little better with evaluations is my main complaint. Maybe Glass will change his habits and become what we all had hoped. I know I’m pulling for him 110%
