Ruby Meylan dominated again.
The softball team is 11-8 when Ruby doesn’t start. Hope she’s ready for some heavy usage.

I don’t follow softball. Do softball pitchers need the same kind of rest as baseball? It’s a whole different throwing motion, so I’ve never thought about it.

She’s also listed as a pitcher which we are sorely going to need next year so I hope she can pitch like she bats. She should be the designated player for sure next season.

No, but there are limits. You’ll notice that during the regular season, she’s throwing the Friday and Sunday games and generally getting a breather on Saturdays. You could throw every day, but you will start seeing fatigue in the arm. And if you lose and fall into the loser’s bracket where you could end up playing 2 games in a single day, then she can’t be expected to start and pitch both games.
Yeah, I was trying to research it. Some people say it’s just as strenuous, but there don’t seem to be any rules in place (like for younger ages like I guess there are with baseball) or the same kind of pitch count and rest guidelines.
