It’ll be the first time the Cowgirls miss the WCWS since 2018.
Disappointing end to a disappointing season
I think this is the catch-22 of the transfer portal. It allows you to get great talent with experience in quickly. But, that doesn’t always mean it’s going to work.
Obviously a great program when a winning season is disappointing but in that vein Gajewski is a victim of his own excellence. I was pretty sure you could have stuck a fork in us after Arkansas came back to win game 2.
Kenny G and co did another standup job, that loss in the first game vs Ark did us in IMO. Girls were tired I think in the last game. I don’t know why Kenny didn’t pull the starter out earlier, getting behind 6-0, doomed any chance of pulling out a W, even though this team was notorious for crazy comebacks. Not to be too critical, he probably didn’t have a whole lot left, I’m guessing. Build.Back.Better. but not like Heaux Biden, hah hah.
I had lunch with a bunch of Texas Tech guys and they were telling me that their softball pitcher (overall #1 player from Stanford) was being paid $1.05 million this year to pitch at TT - they were saying Cody Campbell was behind all of TT’s success in football recruitment as well. Apparently he is also part of Trump’s Commission to navigate the wild Wild West of NIL
Yes he is and he just sold Double Eagle to Diamondback Energy for $4.1B. There’s no way around it - Tech athletics are going to be good for the foreseeable future.
