These young guys are scary good. And Jax Forrest rumored to be wrestling for us second semester. Buckle up Cowboy wrestling fans! Let’s enjoy the ride!

These freshmen are super talented but also super smart in their approach to each match. Like I’ve said before, Lockett is adaptable at all the different styles and flows of matches he’s faced so far. Vega’s defense and sequencing in a scramble is methodical and fully utilizes the strengths of his body type and style. His wrestling on the edge is brilliant. Landon is a pure brute so far. Great mat awareness on takedowns and dragging opponents back into the mat to complete ruthless td’s. I’ve never seen more wrestlers run away from a freshmen. Add Jax at break…man, that guy has developed his game and match sense so much in this last year…it’s gonna be a great year.
