Doucet had been known for his slower-paced matches, but he transformed his body in his year sitting behind national champ Wyatt Hendrickson and scored six takedowns on Jackson Mankowski to win 19-4. - Thank goodness. The season before Hendrickson got to Stilly Doucet was gonna go down as perhaps the most boring wrestler ever for oSu. Didn’t try much of anything and he was pudgy. Working out w/ Wyatt did wonders for the kid!!!

I can’t say enough about how psyched I am for COWBOY WRESTLING! Man, this team looks good! I’m not too worried about Casey, Aiden Valencia is a beast and gonna AA this year and also, something HAD to be up with Casey. Sick, injury, curse, who knows; but the dude was a completely different wrestler than a week before and was sweating bullets in the first period. I usually try not to make excuses for athletes, but something was up. Figueroa just needs to work on his gas tank and manage his match a little better. Dude has some insane skills and went crazy in that first period and was just done. So happy for all our freshman, redshirt freshmen, transfers, and ol’ regulars. Next week is National Duels and we might get to see another amazing quality to this roster: it’s depth. Depending on how deep we go and how much Taylor wants to play around with the roster, we could see how deep this team is from duel to duel. Wish I could afford tickets to the Duels, but I’ll be at every other home duel. We HAVE to pack GIA this year!
