OK, that qualifies. I really don’t even remember that team.

I feel like Hawkins is the new age Perry Ellis.

Lutz has put together a solid first year roster (especially when it comes to guards), but he’s gonna have to figure out the situation with bigs quick

■■■■ Oregon…

Would you rather have Mike Marsh or another guard? I’m assuming Mike Marsh types are all that’s left.

you need another big whether it is Mike Marsh or not

Honestly I would take him back

Talked with Lutz today. I didn’t get a ton of questions in, but here is the 20-minute session

Would take Kalib too

I know I brought this up with Cisse, and it stands with the Boone twins. Not sure bringing back Boynton re-treads accustomed to a losing culture on a one year rental is a good idea.

There could be appeal from a degree completion standpoint. Many schools stipulate a minimum number of credits at an institution to get a degree. Part of why Moussa was between us and Memphis.

I agreed with you on Cisse based on both attitude and lack of offense. But Kalib Boone was incredible offensively when he did not get in his own head. I kinda assumed Boynton’s inability to be a strong disciplinarian may have hurt Kalib – remember the old “dog house”, LOL. Anyhow, if Lutz is a strong old-school type disciplinarian, I think he could potentially transform Kalib to be a great re-tread.

I can’t believe Keylan of Kalib still have any eligibility left.

I’m not even going to edit it lol. I do love historical movies and books of all kinds.

What is considered “strong old-school type disciplinarian”?

I don’t remember Boyton being unable to discipline. I do remember people complaining too many of his players got kicked off the team…

if anything it would have benefitted Boynton to be less of a disciplinarian

I’m remembering what old players said about Eddie.

He’d leave you if you were late. He’d send someone to get you if you didn’t wake up.

He’d tell guys to drink hard liquor I stead of beer to cut calories.

:joy::rofl:

by my count in Boynton’s 7 year career:

8 players dismissed/kicked off
3 recruits that never made it to campus

Probably his most damning stats, and that is not including how many transferred out, it is honestly surprising that he did not do worse than he did. Roster building/retention was far worse than his coaching ability
