a twitter source had Yeanay to Grand Canyon and Johnson to Florida the other day
Trilly just confirmed GCU for Yeanay
Why
GCU has a great atmosphere and theyâre probably telling him that he will start
I would assume since Twitter knew earlier Lutz has known so hopefully he has been talking about other players.
Weâre getting out-recruited by GCU head-to-head? These are strange times indeed.
Iâd rather go to to GCU over OSU right now.
Boynton was a playersâ coach versus an old school disciplinarian . Nearly all his teams lacked discipline on and off the court. Even the most ardent Boynton supportersâ complained about this in game threads. The first year or two was okay (Lindy Waters and crew), but it went downhill after that. Iâm not saying we need the iron fist of Eddie Sutton (@michael13 may disagree, LOL) but hopefully Lutz gets us more discipline than MB did or at least enough to make full use of players in the Kalib Boone mold who just needed a tough coach to reign them in.
We are also assuming OSU even still wanted Yeanay, none of us know that to be true
GCU is a better destination than OSU right now. Better home game environment by a mile. As good as it has ever been at OSU (even in 2004). And GCUâs environment is much more steady regardless of W/L record (donât have to be undefeated to have a fun crowd experience). Also, a much better path to the tourney. And finally, for many, Phoenix > Stillwater.
They have very very very deep pockets
I forgot to mention that youâve got Jerry Colangelo watching you sometimes as well.
Disciplining players and teaching players discipline donât mean the same thing. Heâs talking about MB disciplining players. MB could and would discipline players. Youâre talking about MB teaching players discipline on the court. He couldnât do that.
Bro you think Phoenix is better than Stillwater? Phoenix is awful. I have no idea how people live in that godforsaken city.
A night out in Scottsdale or Tempe beats a night out in Stillwater by a WIDE margin. These are college kids weâre talking about.
Yes, I get your point based on the breakdown of your definitions. MB certainly did not teach discipline on the court. However, Iâd also argue he did not actually discipline his players on court either. Same dumb mistakes over and over and he usually did not yank them for a minute or two or even change his demeanor. For myself, going to watch a game in person in GIA when a player screwed up with MB compared to Eddie was night and day Again, not saying we need an iron fist like Eddie. But if a player repeatedly makes the same mistake, there has to be an immediate disciplinary correction in-game IMHO.
Id rather off myself than live in Phoenix
I just said for âmanyâ, Phoenix > Stillwater.
After living in the Phoenix metro for 31 years, I am not sure which I would choose, lol.
The summers alone are enough for me to stay away.
