I guess I should reframe my question: Should we expect them to think of every single possibility before a play happens?

Answer still the same - absolutely. And all the motion on both sides of the ball is designed to complicate the thinking. The best OL is one that thinks alike and together. That’s why OL injuries are so devastating IMO.

If the LT says “just beat my man” and the LG says “just beat my man”, and they both pick the same guy to beat, then someone else is in the backfield immediately.

I know I am over-simplifying…

@AlabamaPoke @AdamLunt They actually did throw off this same action against Missouri State.

But, to Adam’s point, it doesn’t seem like GT would be the best run action to use for this concept.
