Predicting the Cowboys vs. the Ducks.
Ducks 56 Pokes 21
These score predictions are delusional.
If the pokes stay within 50, it should be considered a win. The Pokes may have a whole new roster, but Oregon doesn’t. And they won by 66 last year. The reality was they could have won by double that amount.
Not saying Morris isn’t gonna turn the Pokes around, eventually. But this weekend is going to be ugly.
Yowch. I think that’s an overreaction. I think the line will be close. We’re what? 22-ish point dogs? We’ll lose somewhere between 20-30 points.
1.) I don’t think Morris is trash.
2.) I don’t think Mestemaker or Hawkins are trash.
3.) It’s going to be hotter than Oregon wants to play in.
4.) It’s the home opener.
5.) We just got embarrassed and will want to prove something.
6.) There is no way Oregon is going to take us seriously. Lanning will insist that they do, but they will not.
However…
1.) We have no O-line.
2.) We have no pass rush.
3.) Oregon is returning a million players and a top 3 QB.
4.) I don’t think Morris or Mestemaker are trash, but I know Lanning and Moore are top tier.
5.) We are an inch deep.
6.) Oregon didn’t get embarrassed, but they had to battle an overlooked opponent and will have something to prove, at least enough for Lanning to yell at them about all week.
So, we will try very, very hard and lose by like… 24.
Very rare, but I actually agree with this.
Been going back and forth on this game. I don’t think we’ll be as bad as the Tulsa game. Which was one of the worst performances I’ve seen in the last 10 years. I would say the only performance that tops this was our 2023 loss to USA. Maybe our 41-23 loss at Troy in 2007 to go back further.
I think we can cover the spread, but I’m not very confident that after what I had seen in week 1. I’m gonna take Oregon 49-24 in this one. I think we’ll keep it closer in the first half and then Oregon just blows it open midway through the 3rd. We have some talent on this team. Our coaching and turnover ratio was absolutely terrible against Tulsa. I don’t see that being nearly as bad this game.
Oregon 55
OSU 17
If you think I’m a pessimist, then consider this score is 4 touchdowns better than last year….
Oregon returns 3 seniors to the defensive line that had a shot in the NFL
Sir, I’m over here trying not to blackpill and you aren’t helping.
Pokes cover the spread!
49-27
Would be nice if you are right, but I don’t see it. Offense is vanilla potato, defense is far worse than the PFB podcast guys are saying, conditioning is terrible, gonna be hot, Oregon will be dialed in after a close win last week, etc etc etc.
50+ point loss. As bad as last season quite possibly. Hope I’m wrong but I doubt it.
The important stat. How many fans show up? Since I’m loyal and true I’ll at least turn it on… for a few minutes….
52-7
That’s a very OSU thing to happen. Get down to the 10 yard line, tipped pass, and Oregon takes it to the house for a touchdown
.
He was throwing into triple coverage…
Win or lose, I’m done with the hurry up to the line and run the back up running back up the middle on 3rd and 4th and 1s.
Would love it if we can pull this off and shove it in Lanning’s smug face, but still don’t believe yet.
I told you guys this team has talent. You can’t play one of the dumbest football games in over a decade against any FBS team and expect to win.
