PFB Predictions: The Staff Gets a Season Prediction Redo at Oklahoma State's Bye Week

We must have read the same post cause that’s what I heard !! I would like Dickey gone. He’s done nothing

If he doesn’t play I think he can file for a medical redshirt. I imagine that’s what he will do. I hope it’s here and not portal out

Yes, he already redshirted last season.

We don’t have coaching or a QB. Without one of the two you’re not going anywhere.

It’s basically doubling down on the schemes that don’t work……EVER!!! Dickey is not an OL coach that’s accustomed to the schemes Gundy wants Dunn to run. Also, Gundy’s playbook has been outdated for a while (evident from last season when we changed up a few schemes). The stubbornness to not change along with the evolving environment of college football is front and center in Stillwater.

I’m not saying Dickey isn’t at fault for some of the performance. I’m just saying the issue goes further than Dickey. It’s the entire offensive staff. Dunn calls predictable head scratchers, Rattay can’t develop a QB, and Gundy can’t choose the correct QB (as he’s proven in the past). You literally need another Monken or Knowles to hope for something more than bowl eligibility.

Honest question - do we actually want to reach bowl eligibility? Is that what’s best for the program? If we do we can expect Michael G. to point at the bowl streak and remind us that we used to be a lot worse and didn’t get to go to bowls every year. I have no interest in winning 6 or 7 games and then seeing this same staff with a worse roster rolled out there next year. 4-8 is the call, we find a way to win one somehow, but I think 4-8 is actually the best thing that can happen to the program at this point.

I agree. Nothing significant will change unless we fall flat our face is his season. Even then, that’ll be a stretch. I’d like to see both Dickey and Dunn gone. If you want to run a specific offense then actually recruit the type of players accustomed to that offense. Don’t try to run draws with a QB that’s slower than a tortoise or doesn’t have the ability to run an RPO.

I say that we don’t make it a priority. If replacing coaches, putting in non starting players that have the heart to want to play et al. decreases out chances of making a bowl then so be it. According to Gundy the great thing about going to a bowl is the extra practices allowed. Well at this stage of the game we have way bigger issues than missing a few extra practices.

Did gundy retire yet? That’s the only news we need to know from here on out the rest is just nonsense.
