Recapping the Cowboys’ loss in Fort Worth.

Another good podcast in the books @CarsonCunningham and Colby (does he have a PF account to tag him?).
I’m in :100: agreement. There are only two options. 1. Clean house, hire a proven OC and DC, turn the keys over them, and be CEO HC. 2. Mutually part ways or invoke the insubordinate clause of his contract.

This team is so bad it hurts. I can’t even watch a full game without wanting to jump off my apartment balcony. Sad state of affairs when I’d rather play the new COD game (which is ass) then watch some Cowboy FB (significantly more ass than COD).

I really enjoy these podcasts, but come on Carson, there is no way Gundy exits. One horrendously bad season doesn’t define a coach. We don’t need any more media hype. The way this team performs provides enough drama.
Fire at least Dunn and Nardo and go shopping for a new roster in the portal. Firing Gundy is the furthest thing on the minds of the Prez and AD. The thing that upsets me the most about Gundy, is that he always needs a haircut and I suspect he dyes his hair. The mystery is why the O-line has failed miserably.
Defense is poor because of injuries resulting in a lack of edge rushers, missing a good linebacker, poor pass defenders, poor tackling, and a wealthy but poor defensive coordinator. Other than that… And I will not waste words stating the obvious about Gundy’s choices for QBs. Be patient, Gundy will throw in the towel after the next 2 losing seasons. We will then enjoy him as a color commentator on ESPN+.

It’s interesting. If it were me and I had all the money I ever wanted, loved my school and felt that I had no fire left to take the football program further I would just resign, for the betterment of all. It’s the noble thing to do. However there is probably are reason I’m not a highly paid D1 football coach because my kind of thinking, school/program over me , would never land me in a D1 coaching position in the first place.

Blockquote but come on Carson, there is no way Gundy exits.

I disagree, but thanks for listening.

First time posting long time Loyal and True. Graduated in 1982. Seen the Rust Stadium, played basketball on campus with the great Dexter Manley and his big ol Buick.
My thoughts are, the defensive is awful. But its nothing we have not seen before.
We have seen great and we have seen bad D, it’s OSU. But the offense is what is frustrating to me. Nearly the same players on that side of the ball as last year: OB RB WR Line. What the hell happened to these guys! Is it coaching, stale play calling or they just were not that good last year? A better offense can hide the defense ineptness, out score them. I think it is time to have a full reboot totally. But do you think Gundy is trying to deflect all of the negativity off coaches and players and onto him by his outlandish comments and attitude.

Not recruiting Booker T Washington kids is nothing new for Gundy. I was a part of the Hornet program for the last twenty years and watched countless talented BTW football players ignored and gone not recruited by Gundy and the cowboy coaching staff. I saw him a couple times over the years on the BTW campus. Once he flew in on the chopper and spent most of his time doing photo ops with the coeds instead of meeting with the Hornet coaches. The other time was when he came to watch Gauge play baseball. Other than that he can’t be bothered.

Not happy to have to report this…

Topic for podcast discussion: The recent OL offer to Miguel Chavez coached by former OL Levi Adcock got me thinking about our O-Line coaching situation. What if we look to a former O-lineman-turned coach from the Wickline era as a potential O-Line coach? If they can recruit & coach with the same Wickline principles, it might work.
