Reacting to OSU firing its coordinators.
I assume the position coaches will be let go once the new coordinators are hired and are given flexibility to hire their own staff?
If ASU wins the conference crown, why would Arroyo come to OSU?

Weiberg, Shrum, and the Board need to make Gundy understand that his insults of the fans and his non-apology apology (what these guys called a double bird to the administration) were completely unacceptable. Personally, I think Gundy still thinks everyone but him is a stupid loser, and he doesn’t need to care or worry what anyone thinks. That needs to change. Will it? Doubtful.

I couldn’t agree more. Hire the best you can and if they leave for a bigger program so be it. In fact, that should be the pitch: Come to Oklahoma State and if you hit it out the park, you can write your own ticket.

Arroyo is not going backwards in his career.
No one is firing coach Gundy.
No big time names will be hired as coordinators. Dunn would not have lasted this long if T. Boone would have lasted longer. Trying to get a top coordinator to join a bottom feeder program would be hard to do. But, money talks. Gundy can’t go looking for coordinators at obscure colleges any longer.
AD won’t allow that. If push comes to shove, Gundy will resign rather than let an AD control his hiring methods. Pride comes before the fall. Friday should be a make or break session. Chad wants OSU to be a top tier school in all sports. That’s the big picture. I don’t know if Lutz is the answer. I think after he is gone because he couldn’t recruit top talent, Chad then breaks the bank to hire a name brand basketball coach. Poor Ollie. Goes from first round to a 7th round pick. His agent is probably doubling up on an antidepressant after this season. The only Jucos I want to see recruited, are former 4 or 5 star players who had bad grades in high school and had to go juco. And no linemen under 300 lbs.
